I think you mean everytime I move my Controller in the forward postion the consol does not move the charactor on the screen?

Okay this will need to be serviced there is not quick remedy here the controller is ether dirty inside or is making back contact it will need to come in peices and test will need to be ran on it my suggestion you might not like but oh well here it goes TRADE IT IN!! you be glad you did otherwise have fun taking this thing apart to rub a contact in hopes it works now if the ocntact is burned you just wasted time,$$$,energy and you will not get trade in credit WHY because you opened it these places know but if you tell them streight up darn the controller is not working 100 percent they will still take it in for like $50 bucks store credit that is alot of money to ether put towards another unit or games for other systems. If this is under warranty bring it in.

Thanks that is my 0.2 cents please do cast your postive vote please do not be mean and give me one or two thumbs up i took the time to answer your question and its not worth seeing a negitive vote. Thanks

My psp 3004 has a problem I believe with the analog stick, when I'm trying to move the character forward,he's going back or he's walking and not running forward and sometimes he's going...

Hi,
Problem with PSP toggle switch.
Better bring that PSP to any technician to open it up and clean the rubber contact on that switch. Also to retighten the screw holding that switch.
Try to tighten up the external casing screw at the lower right screw, when your facing the rear side of the PSP, parallel to the switch, it could only be a loose screw. If it didn't work, it's time to bring it to any technician.

Hope that helps!

My PSP joystick won't function when I press up. Every other direction is fine, but my character moves really slowly when I push forward.

You can try pushing it 360 degrees around this sometimes solves the problem, you can also try putting your fingernail under it in case there's a bit of dirt under it.

Forward button

Im assuming this is a cheatcode for a specific game, meaning that you move the stick forward as if you were to move your character forward. If this isnt the case please let us know what game you are trying to use this on.

PSP wont read games

Did you ever drop it? Usually if a PSP will not read UMD's, either the laser is dirty or it has been moved. If you dropped it, the laser has probably been moved. You'd have to take the whole entire thing apart to move the laser back, assuming you knew the position it should be in in the first place. Even if you have dropped it, the first thing I would do is to pick up a UMD drive cleaning kit for around $10 and try that. If that does not work, I would suggest sending it to be repaired. I hope this helps!

How can I repair my psp's joystic?

You can try replacing the joystick. On ebay, joysticks go for anywhere from $1 to $15.

I found a lot of joysticks on this link.

Faulty psp

This could be a very simple problem. I have seen so many PSP's with this problem. There is something stuck in the gears that move the PSP left to right. Most of the time it is a plastic piece that breaks off the door hinge. If you are good at taking electronics apart, you can do this in 10 minutes.

Triangle button gets stuck

u need to take the psp apart for this one. take off the front cover and turn it over. remove the buttons from the back of the psp and clean with isopropyl alcohol. leave to dry. replace. then clean the touch pad of the x/o buttons with same. put back together and should now be ok. if this doesn't solve the problem its time to buy a new x/ o buttons pad. ebay £5.
