I have Creative Wecbam NX PRo and can't get it to all work on Vista

I have Creative Webcam NX Pro, and the monitor will work, but I can not get the Webacam center to work, keeps coming up with a CTPCCam.exe has stopped working message, and shuts down, what do I have to do to get rid of that or to get the wecam center to work?

I have the same problem with a "Creative Webcam NX Ultra" which I am trying to install running Vista Home Premium. The Creative web siste leads me to believe that it is not offering Vista support for this model, but Vista Device Manager list the model correctly within "Imaging Devices" and assures me that "This device is working properly". Any suggestions?

Yup..believe what Creative says. If they state that Vista support ain't there, then that's for real. The device might be 'seen' by Vista, yet without the up to date driver, no go. Saying that the device is working, only suggest that signal is functional, not optimal.

Welcome to Vista madness, eh?

Got backup?

Please click here to find the driver for your webcam. (VF0100 Creative Vista Pro Webcam).
Find the file named "" in the list and download it.
After extracting the zip file run the ".exe" file to install the driver. This driver is for Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME/98 operating systems.

Hope this helps.
NOTE: The file which I uploaded will stay there for a limited time (at least for two weeks). That was uploaded only for you to find and download easily.

Problem with webcam nx pro on vista 64

dear jorma

Ok, I found the procedure to install the webcam correctly under Windows Vista.

1- Download the XP driver from the Creative website
2- With WinRar extract the files to a folder on the desktop (don't warry if the downloaded driver file is .exe)
3- Once extracted the files to the folder, open it and again extract the files from the folder called "" into a new folder
4- Open the extracted folder, and you will find a "Driver" folder.
5- Go back to the main driver folder and extract "" files and place them on the "Driver" folder
5- Open the "Driver" folder and double-clik on the file called "VfwUpd.exe"
6- Now go the Device Manager on the Control Panel
7- Plug your webcam and choose manually where to find drivers.
8- select the "Driver" folder or the main driver folder and your webcam is finally working
