Unless you are a qualified repair technician (I am), or know one to look at it cost-effectively do NOT attempt opening or repairing it yourself. It sounds very typical of RGB control circuitry and/or CRT's RGB cathode guns are faulty. This is normal for older CRT monitors and also by how they have been handled, how much air-flow they had, how much dust (carbon-based, therefore eventually conductive) and shoddy manufacturing, among prime reasons for failure! Having said all that, it may be a matter of simply opening the unit, cleaningit out and re-seating the CRT cathode PCB (depending on how it is manufactured of course. Recycle it by giving to, or advertising it for free for a tech/hobbiest to pilliage parts such as the ferrite transformers, etc. Sorry to say, but once CRT monitors start behaving in this manner it is simply just not cost-effective to get them quoted on and repaired - commonly an new CRT will cost as much as a brand-new 17" LCD display.

hi,

If this line is contineous then it would be a screen damage to your pc but if line doesn't appear all the time or screen flickers on a particular area of lcd or completely, it might be data cabel issue with it.

Continous formatt popping up on my camera

Download any pictures to your computer using a card reader if necessary. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, making sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position, insert the card and this time, find "format" in the menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

I have a problem with my del optplex gx260 is keep on restarting, why?

If the computer is restarting continously at the windows loading screen then you have a windows issue of which your computer is "Blue Screening" and restarting. In this case you arent really seeing the blue screen as windows restarts immediately as the error occurs. My advice to you is to press F8 before the windows loading screen and choose to "not restart automatically on error" that is not entirely what it says but its to that regard. If that doesnt work try pressing the "Pause Break button continously until the blue screen appears, read the error and google it to find out what is causing the error and go from there. Please feel free to get back to me on this if my information doesnt help or i need to explain further.

Initially had trouble with sound. then went into set up menu. while in clicked on video and accidentally change to PAL which give continous screen rolover and can't get out of it. Help

Look for a "reset" selection to reset the machine to the factory defaults. Try connecting the player to a computer monitor and try to access the setup menu.
