It sounds like heat relate problem or poor solder connections. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

In the middle of watching tv, the screen just turned blue. We went to change the channel and as soon as we did, it turned blue. It doesn't have sound either.

Blue color production circuit is fine. Red and green color circuit not getting power, the same power also goes to sound unit. if that is rectified, issue would be resolved.

My Olevia 26 inch LCD works for 2 minutes then screen goes out.

It is most likely the Inverter Board. You can buy them online. The Olevia company got bought out and the only way to have them repaired is by sending it in to a repair shop and they have to send it to this company that is repairing the Olevia models (this is the ordeal I had to put up with) I asked him if I could send it to them but he (in an indian language I could hardly understand) told me I COULD NOT. It is a joke. I repaired my 30" (LT30HV) with the inverter board I bought here ( http://www.lcdparts.net/InverterDetail3D.aspx?ProductID=2510 ). It was $149.00 and they have instructions and pictures on how to repair it. You will have to have basic electrical knowledge as to what goes where when you put it all back together again. Other than that, it took me about 35 min (had to figure out where all the screws were) to take apart, 5 min to take the bad board out, 2 min to install the new one, and 15 min to put it all back together. Good luck

There is a repair kit for problems like this on ebay. Just search for maxent repair. It says you need experience with a soldering iron however.

Hooking up a Mac to tv

I ran into the same problem with my "50 maxent. The manual clearly states that mac resolutions are not supported. We won't let that stop us. Step one is to download switchresx. It's a simple utility that should allow you to define custom resolutions. http://www.madrau.com/ .
Step 2 is to download chicken of the VNC. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/9517 . Once this is installed on a separate mac from the one you are trying to connect to the maxent take your mini and hook it up to the RGB port on the maxent and boot it up. Once this is done use chicken of the vnc to take control of of the mini with the other mac. Now you can change the resolution on the mini using switchresx which you installed on the mini earlier. In the case of the maxent you will need to set it to 1366x768 at 60 hz. If using another flat panel consult your user manual for the correct resolution. In my opinion there is no flat paned tv this should not work for.
Good luck!
