When thermostat calls for heat, loud buzzing

That sound generally comes from a magnetic coil that is being energized. It could be from a compressor control or a furnace gas valve. In either case there is no danger involved it may buzz for years and unless you have money put aside for a heating mans adventure id just let it buzz until it gets so loud it just has to go. Sometimes the buzz just goes away. I know it sounds crazy and I understand one persons buzz is another persons nightmare. Its yer call. Hope this helped and good luck.

There is a buzzing sound in the left earcup, without any audio cord plugged in. It occurs when I turn the headphones on, and it sounds like a very high pitched screech. Any ideas?

Make and Model information of the head set would help.

As for an idea it would be power line hum being picked up by the audio cord. I am assuming this because you turn it on and I then assumed it has ab internal amplifier. Short all three pins together and the buzzing should go away unless there is a broken ground wire.

My turtle beach x32 wont stop buzzing unless i point the microphone towards the tranmitter

Use a different audio cable. The one that comes with the X32s causes the buzz. I used a regular RCA to 1/8" shielded stereo cable and the buzz is gone. Also don't use the rear usb ports on the Xbox those are noisier and will add a tiny bit of noise even with a new cable. Use the front usb on the Xbox or one from another device. I use the usb on the back of my cable box. That with a new audio cable gives me zero buzz.

Hp pav dv6000 - buzzing speakers

Does it stop if you mute the system?

Find a pair of headphones and plug them into the laptop and see if the buzzing continues in the headphones. If it does, it's a driver problem. Uninstall Audacity (which I don't think works too well with Vista, unless they've released a new version) to see if the problem goes away. If the buzzing is only occuring on your laptop speakers, but not in the headphones, then you may have blown them by using the wrong impedance out of your amp...

I rather suspect it's an audio driver problem. What happens when you remove Audacity?

AKG K240S headphones not working well.

A buzz in one ear and no sound in the other 'sounds' like an open connection inside the headphones. The K240-series uses three wires from the pin to the headphones. Try this link to get wiring schematics and disassembly details:,id,7,nodeid,7,_language,EN,cat,11.html
