MY WASHER JUST STOPPED WON'T LIGHT UP .I CAN'T GET THE DOOR OPEN.SEEMS LIKE I HAVE NO POWER, BUT OUTLET HAS POWER. WHAT DO I DO.
I have a Maytag Neptune MAH 9700. It died one day and the door remained locked. I am guessing the circuit board is fried so it's a good thing I purchased a five year extended warranty. The problem though, is that my 2 year olds BLANKY was in there and she won't go to bed without it. Can't wait 2 weeks for the repair guy. I was able to remove the top and (after I unplugged it of course) get my hand to the bottom of the switch housing. Seems there is a small opening at the bottom. I pressed up with my finger and was able to get the door opened. Whew!!! Hope this helps. ; )
Sounds like the main control board is faulty, All functions for this unit go thru the control board.

I have the same problem with mine MAH6700AWW.My clothes are locked in there and cant get them out and the repair shop said it will be 14 days any help would be greatly appreciated
Whasher will not turn on, seems like there is no power to the outlet however I have confirmed that there is power to the outlet.
The washer was tripping the circuit breaker all week and now there are no lights on, door is locked and my clothes are in there. Service says two weeks to get here as well. How can I unlock and get the clothes out? There must be a manual override somewhere.
