You have a wire that has either broken off or burn't off and has shorted to ground or is arcing. You need to take the back bottom panel off and find the wire. It most likely is at the compressor or the condenser fan motor. And , no, it isn't a common problem. I hope I was able to help you! Good luck.

Smelled electrical burning last night and unplugged my GE profile dryer and one of the prongs(3 prong type) was burned

This usually indicates a loose connection. Check the wire connection inside the outlet and the connections on the back of the dryer. Make sure the nuts are not cross threaded, this commonly happens with the fine thread. When a loose connection happens the electricity will generate heat trying to make the connection, the cause of many home fires every year.

GE Refridge #tbx21jablraa Water collecting in

The defrost drain tube is plugged. Move the refrig out from the wall and remove the tube which goes from the center middle of the back to the bottom part of the refrig. Clean out the tube and check the part that goes into the refrig. That part usually comes off with a quarter turn or so, then pull.

Amana ABB2224DEW bottom freezer defrost problem

You have a defrost problem. You will need to replace your defrost system. Before you put the parts on, you need to completely thaw out your unit. You can do this by leaving it open all day or night or by placing a fan close to it with the door open. We have parts, so please give us a call and we'll be sure to ge the right parts out to you right away. We look forward to hearing back from you.

I have a 4 years old GE top loading washer - model number 2090D... it was fine till last night that it stop at the last ''drain and spin'' cycle... and I smell a burn smell too when I notice the washer...

It may be possiblr by the way you explained the symptoms, that the tomer may have shorted out .That would be the most likely problem of the burning smell, and the case of no water entering the tub .

HELP! Fire Hazzard!

It sounds like your focus/screen block, the flyback transformer, or maybe a CRT anode lead is leaking high voltage. This could be a serious problem, or could be a simple one. You should not attempt this repair unless you know all of the high voltage safety issues involved with this TV set. Good Luck
