Question about Memorex Televison & Video
We werent getting the surround sound, so we hit the default on my Memorex 9624M DVD player (its on a RV) and now i get sound, but no pictures...
Is there a reset?? or could it be Progressive scan??...the thing is i can
even get into a menu to fix the problem...
But thats the only thing we did was hit the default setting on the remote, didnt touch anything else...
thanks for any info

Sure that's easy, I read this in the manual:
(Page 18 - Progressive Scan Section)
All you have to do is:
1. Remove the disc in the DVD/VCR.
2. Press and hold the STOP button for 5 seconds before releasing it. (Note that this is the stop button which is physically on the player.)
And that should pull you out of Progressive Scan Mode.

SOURCE: progressive scan
Open the drive and hold down one on the remote...
Hope you still have the remote!!!

SOURCE: Progressive Scan
On 12/29/2007 at 1135pm, I found the solution for yours and my problem. Here is what you need to do. I did the same thing and couldnt get video. If you set Progressive Scan to ON in error , you must reset the unit. Play your dvd, then press "STOP" to stop the disc from playing. Hold the stop button on the dvd player for approx 5 seconds before releasing it. The video output will be restored to the standard setting, and a picture will once again be visible on a conventional analog TV or monitor.

I turned on the dvd player and pressed down on the play button and counted to 10, but before I got to 10 the progressive light went of and the image on my tv set came back on.
