You need to activate the output. Left click somewhere on the desktop screen to bring up the display menu and then click on <properties> at the bottom and then click on settings. You should see the 2nd display. Enable it and duplicate the desktop (not extend) to the output. That is the generic procedure- yours may be a little different.
Let me know if that doesn't do it.

How do yu connect a desktop tower to this tv

First, we need to look at how to make your PC send the correct signal. As a general rule, I can say that you will likely need some sort of adapter in your PC in order to send a signal to the TV. This is typically referred to as a "tuner card." It converts PC output to the input that a TV can understand. I don't normally recommend Wikipedia, but this article does tell you the basics of how to get signals from a TV to a PC:
TV tuner card Wikipedia the free encyclopedia
Then, it would be helpful to know what brand, model #, etc. "this" TV is.

Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver how to hook up speakers

HI,

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver. blank.gif

Hi i have philips surround sound, i am looking for advice on how to connect to my toshiba tv. cant get tv sound through the speakers. please advise, thank you Steve

With NO devices identified in this scenario...

Manuals help as far as actual connections go.

First of all we need to know how audio comes in from the TV and its make/model, just in case it's complicated - cable type and name the output to each input on the RCA.

A TV's speakers are NOT generally considered a viable additions or alternatives to audio-specific designs. That is not to say they aren't better than some. Just that same TV's usually are not at the output end of an audio chain for good reason. Video, yes.

Even though this may go 'against the book', I'd recommend you go for minimal receiver involvement in the video side other than to send composite video to the TV from "Monitor Out" so you can set up and manage the receiver through the TV.

You can also send Cable- or Sat Box basic analog audio directly to the TV if it has inputs for audio. That way if you just want to watch the news or weather you don't need to fire up the Receiver.

Your video sources (DVD, BD, Cable/Sat) can suffer fewer video anomalies and unnecessary modifications or conversions if you send their BEST video directly to the TV and their BEST audio directly to the receiver. That way everything is handled only once by the best electronics you have for each function. The presence of separate Inputs and Outputs for Audio and Video encourages this method.

Records video but, no audio

A lot of people who have this problem have usually just inserted the plugs in the wrong place. Firstly when you want to play a dvd or video, you have plugs going from the output of the 'machine player" going to the input section of the TV cause the machine is sending information outwards to the TV to display (audio and video). There should however also be plugs going from the output of the TV to the input section of the "machine player" because you want to send data back to record.

Hope this helps.

Give me properly installation of stand alone dvr with computer all window how sport the dvr send me properly anstallation of standalone dvr

Take one co-axial cable, and connect the "input" port to your cable-company's wall-port.

Look at the connectors on the back of your TV. You could have:
* coaxial input (lowest video-quality)
* S-Video input (better video-quality)
* component input - three cables for video, two cables for audio (better video-quality)
* HDMI input (highest video-quality)

Look at the connectors on the "output" side of the PVR. You could have:
* coaxial output (lowest video-quality)
* S-Video output (better video-quality)
* component output - three cables for video, two cables for audio (better video-quality)
* HDMI output (highest video-quality)

Connect the "outputs" to the "inputs", using appropriate cables.

Turn the PVR on. Turn the TV on.

Use the "source" button on the TV's remote-control to select from the various inputs
(Coax, S-Video, Component, HDMI1, HDMI2).

If your TV has 'PIP' ("Picture-In-Picture") capability, connect more than one output to a second input, so that both tuners inside your TV will receive a signal.

You may need to change your HD settings on the back of the console ( HD setting is actually on cord ) I had that issue when I first went online w/360 . If that does not help u know X box costumer support will repair any damaged system prob. no cost and does'nt take as long as they say.

Component Video Connection

what you have done is you are sending a component video signal from your system to your tv and the sound i assume comes through the 5.1 surrond speakers. The DVD's you play the sound would naturally come from the 5.1 surround speakers, unless your instruct the dvd player to send the sound to the tv in which case will only be played as stereo. you will need inputs on your dav system to take sound from your tv outputs or digital box by way of red and white phono leads or a digital/optical input if you have them; so as to play the sound from cable tv or sattelite tv through your 5.1 surround speakers.

Connecting computer to tv

If your computer has an S-video jack, (and if your tv has one)then all you need is the cable. If not, you need some sort of pc to tv converter, which run a wide range of prices, depending on if your tv has s video or not.
