Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers

NOT ALL SELECTIONS WORK

I have a Whirlpool Quite Wash Plus, model DU929PFGBO.
The rinse, china & pots and pans buttons all work. But the rest of the buttons will not work when you go to push them, nothing happens. Can this be fixed? If you can, what do I need to do to get it fixed? Is it something we can fix our self our would it have to be done by a repair man. We just bought the house & not really wanting to buy a new dishwasher at this time. It works great as it is, but I would like for the whole thing to work. I really love this Dishwasher.

    Not all selections work.

    ven Normal/reset died several times - I fixed the problem by rebooting the electric circuit.

    Any real solutions? It's a quite expensive piece of junk

SOURCE: remains on Gentle/China mode

unplug the unit from power and plug it in back after may be minute or so.if it works, fine otherwise control panel has to be chgd.it comes as complete assly(top black part) and it is very easy to chg.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue returns after its cleaned then try to reset the dishwasher control by pressing the AIR DRY button and hold it for 15 seconds, if its still not resolved then it means that the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Normally you will have to press High Temp and Air dry button alternatively 3 to 4 times within 8 secs until the whole panel lights up. Then press Cancel. That should reset the dishwasher.

Tips For Dishwasher for its safety and getting dishes cleanest
A) If your household is small, try gradullay accumulating a full load of dishes and rinsing as you go, instead of stacking dirty dishes in the dishwasher.

B) Cleaners and some elbow grease will always get pots and pans cleaner then the pots and pans cycle on the dishwasher.

C) Good crystal and china should be hand washed and not placed in the dishwasher since the detergents and jostling can damage them quite easily.

D)It can take several hours for dishes to dry when using the no-heat dry option the dishwasher. Try propping the door open to speed the drying process.

What is the sequence to reset kenmore dishwasher 665.16719000? The buttons from left to right are pots/pans, normal wash, water miser, china gentle, quick rinse, high temp, air dry, delay wash, start
Press "high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash"

All the lights will go solid at which point you press cancel to reset the board.

**NOTE** if you don't have a "heated dry" button, use the "air dry" or "energy saver dry" button instead.

You can also reset the breaker that supplies power to it and see if that helps. This sounds like the control panel is going out.

Rinse cycle, normal cycle do not light up (work) when keypad is pushed on whirlpool gold quiet wash plus. Same for pots and pans cycle. Time delay, china and heavy settings do work.
can you check the door latch switches?

Kenmore dishwasher model #665 15872000 is stuck on time saver option for washing and I can't get it to switch to any of the other options such as normal wash
Similar Kenmore Dishwasher 665.18664000. Time saver and Quick rinse were the only programs that would run. I pressed "high temp scrub" then "air dry" then "high temp scrub" then "air dry" and the machine went into a diagnostic mode and counted down from 10 while running a series of tests. After about 10 minutes and various test cycles the machine reset and the "normal wash" light had come back on. If this doesn't work then you may have a problem with the controller which other threads have mentioned replacing yourself for about $120.

How do you get the Codes? for GU1500XTL Dishwasher. Only buttons that work are: Anti Baterial, Pots n Pans, Delay Start, Air Dry, and Cancel. We normally use NORMAL. Need Codes and Wiring Diag. Thanks Walt
I am having the same issue. Did you find a solutions? Looks like websites I've searched talk about resetting the controls by hitting either high temp wash -> airdry -> high temp wash -> air dry OR saniwash -> air dry -> saniwash -> air dry. I'll have to try that tonight.
