I have to unplug the tv to turn it off !!! If I use the power switch or the remote to turn it off, it only kills all tv functions but with the picture still on !!! When I plug it back in, the picture appears but with no tv functions...I have to press the power switch or remote power on to have access to tv functiuons again.

Caps in the relay circuit lost value....capacitors in and around the relay need to be checked and or changed....

Relay circuits are generally positioned near where the AC enters the set. Keep in mind, observation is the first step in any and all repairs. So, when caps lose value it'll create heat...that heat will dis-color the circuit board area around the BLACK relay box .... If you believe you located the relay box, check the under side and make sure four terminals for the box have two closest solder joints directly in line with each other where the other two solder joints side are staggered (showing a switch pattern).....heat also will create bad solder connections, so, check all caps and associated parts, their values and connections..........

PS....if relay caps went bad....be sure to check all caps in the entire start up / power supply circuitry including solder connections....

I have a 2001 dinli dino 50 cc quad how do i bypass all the start stop remote kill wiring? Please let me know if its possable

It is possible. What you do is eliminate the unit and all the wires and wire the engine direst to the kill switch You need power to the coil from the kill switch, that's all. the second wire is ground, or depending on the design the kill circuit may be the ground side of the circuit. in any case the wire on the coil is positive power. you should find it fairly simple to eliminate the remote system if you think of basic requirements for the machine to run. Most remotes simply cut the power off. You will definitely need to connect 2 of the wires together. Judging from your pic I would cut all the wires and connect same color wires together.

When I switch the TV on, all it does is click and the screen won't come up. It's almost like the switch is popping some kind of breaker or fuse with in the TV. The power to the unit is fine. ...

Hi, This is a indication of what is call shut down... It ususall happens as a result of power supply problem. It is a sfety feature. To keep the hi-voltage from reaching dangerous levels and doing futher damage. Refer to a quailified tech or service center. There are voltages inside the set that can kill. Be safe.

Volume increases to 30 can't turn down

I don't have a solution but if you take off the speaker grille on the front of the set and see two ribbonish cables, unplug the smaller one. The volume will not increase anymore but you cannot use the controls on the front of the tv and the power light will not show green anymore. You can however use the remote to do everything on the set that you would normally do. Hope this helps until I find a real solution.

Vizio remote control not working

Hi, I had the same problem. My vizio remote for my 42 inch 2 month old vizio also seemed to stop working. Here's what I did: My vizio remote (like most remote's nowadays) was designed for multiple components (tv, dvd, vcr, etc). All you need to do to make the remote work again is set it back to tv. Now, the confusing thing about vizio remotes is that they actually have TWO places where you can switch the remote to the appliance you want to control. One is on top of the remote, the other is on the BOTTOM. Switch it back to TV using the BOTTOM. My remote had stopped working because I had inadvently switched it to another component on the BOTTOM component switch.

I can't turn off my TV

Hi,

Maybe your logic-board is a little stressed.
If your TV doesn't response on your remote control, the only way to switch off is to unplug it.

After one minut you can plug it in and give it a try, no problem.
If it still doesn't work, you have to visit your dealer.

Kind regards,
Gerard

No Picture, Indicator Light Green

If your TV is a year old or more, chances are that the power supply is starting to fail on your TV, causing all kinds of erratic behavior up to the point of not turning on anymore.
I service these power supplies since it does not look like there are many service parts available anymore. The only way to get this TV functional again is to repair the power supply to the component level.
