How do I unstuck my Phone from line in use?

unplug all the phones in the house, or go out to the NID (network interface device) on the outside and disconnect the "line" from the "network". It should have a standard modular plug. You should be able to plug a regular phone into that jack and see if the line has cleared. Chances are there's a phone in the house that's partially off-hook.

How do i put security code so no one else can pick up wireless

Connect to the web-server "inside" the router, and run the Wireless Network Setup Wizard", and choose a SSID and choose a password.

Tell *NOBODY* the password -- they still can see that your network exists, but, without the password, they cannot connect.

Compare it to telling people your address, but leaving the outside doors locked; they can see your home, but they cannot enter.

Can't get on line

first of disable you wireless internet security. sometimes the internet reciver cant pick up signals on secure networks. and then try to conect it then. if that dosen work get in close range to your router to see if its a signal range issue. and agian if still nothing try to type in the ip address manually.

if none of that works then you mite have oten a defective internet reciver for your consel

How do u fix the coumputer from kicking off line when u are on a page or doing something ?

Is this a wireless connection?
If so you could be getting an interference from another wireless source.
Check the wireless routers in your area and see what channel ther are broadcasting on and then change your wireless router to a channel that is unused, if there are none available then pick one that has the weakest signal strength.

WPA for linksys

I would guess you are entering something incorrect with your security. If the wireless adapter on your XBOX wants a WPA then the wireless it is picking up has security on it however, it may be incorrectly set using WEP or WPA radius. Here is what *I* would do. Log in to your wireless router and remove all security. Go back to your XBOX and look for the signal for your wireless network. Now try to connect. Wireless connections can be a pain to configure sometimes but start first with no security and work yourself up. IF you can't get it working with security, make up a goofy SSID with NO security but don't broadcast it then you can connect the manual way through your XBOX specifying the SSID (not broadcasted) and no security that should do it. (Just a side note for my XBOX I bought a cheap Belkin 4 port router made it an access point for my existing wireless network and hardwired my XBOX to it. Works fine.)

Low signal need netgear name

  1. Open an Internet explorer and type the router IP address which would be either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 (by default, refer to your product documentation ti determine the default IP address.) in the address bar and press Enter.
The Login window will be prompting for a Username and Password. The default Username is admin and the default Password is password
once you see the setup you can configure and change the name and security of your network
to find out which one is your network place the router as close to the laptop/desktop so that u get a strong signal
if u get other networks u will no yours if try logging onto them and it asks for a password..if u have not configured your without security then that network must be yours..
hope it helps..do letme know if u need anymore help..

Wireless router kicks me off quite frequently :(

I doubt it's a virus, first remove the passworded security, rebbot the router and try again, but you may need a firmware upgrade for the router available from the routers website, check there for any available.

Clear all the connections in the wirless network adapters settings in network connections and restart your pc.

If all that fails then you may have a wireless signal fault at the router, especially if you can pick up othere close by connections.

Reconfigure router

Changing settings on your computer does not affect your router, but since the other computers cannot pick up the signal, then there is something wrong here.. See if there is a reset button on the Motorola and press it for 30 seconds to see if the router resets to its original configuration. If not, then you need to hardwire your computer to the router and get into the config page. usually, to do this, you just open up a browser and in the address line, type in the Default Gateway Address (usually this is 192.168.1.1).

To find the DG for your LAN:

Start > Run > cmd (ok)

From the Command Shell type:

ipconfig /all > ip.txt
notepad ip.txt

This should open a window with all your IP information in it. you will find a line called Default Gateway.. this is the address (probably 192.168.x.x) that you put in your Browser Window Address Line to access the configuration page of the router..
