You can try and buy new keypads. You can take the keypads off by taking the whole housing off and you can it. i dont think it has anything to do with the phone. i think its just the keypads

Number lock key

1. Please tap the NumLock key many times and see if it responds to the tap,

2. Probably your keyboard is in "Alt Fn" mode, so please try to hold the Fn key and tap the Fn key (I prefer to tap the left arrow and right arrow) and see if the keyboard is working properly.

3. Probably your keyboard is failed. It happens, even there is no spill accident. In this case, you need to replace the entire keyboard.

The 1 keypad for u700 not responding

Hi

If the 1 key pad is not responding, open the phone, get to the key pad.

Open the white paper on the key pad and use a methilated spirit and tooth brush to wipe the number one key. Allow the surface to dry and you couple back the phone.

Thanks.

Key pad 1

The key is dirty or stuck. Clean your keyboard with compressed air, and tap it firmly many times repeatedly. If no good you may need a new keyboard.

My Dell Inspiron 1525's touch pad is not working properly.

Let's try resinstalling the touchpad software first:

If you're using XP it's HERE

If you're using Vista it's THIS ONE

Let me know if that works.

Key pads not responding

Does the computer not respond to your keyboard in any way?
If warranty is still valid, contact the shop where you bought it, or contact acer..

Did something happen to the laptop? Fallen, water on it?

Key pad

A couple of things. Make sure none of your keys are stuck. One key being stuck will disable the keyboard. Carefully depress each key individually and see if one of them is responding differently.
If you want to try, and its not overly difficult, remove the keyboard and unplug and re connect every connector and ribbon cable you can find. Often one of them becomes loose or has a so so connection that can cause it not to respond.
Let me know please.
