  • Make sure to check the fuse to the socket you are using in your car. Get the multi-meter out and check for polarity before you condemn your DC cord.

  • If you have done this then make sure you check the inline fuse for the power cord. Sometimes the adapter itself (plastic piece that goes in the socket) has a fuse hidden in there.
  • The problem is the "official" DC adapter has the antenna and the DC power feed as a little pack that slides onto the radio. The actual power feed is a standard 12 Volt DC power cord available anywhere really for $5usd. If it was me (and anyone with minimal soldiering skills can too) pick up a 12 Volt DC power cord and either open the box up and carefully separate the two wires going into the pack and soldier a new 12 volt DC cord right in there.

  • One could separate the wires up a bit and just cut off a portion of the power cord and soldier in the new one without opening the pack as well.

  • Good luck to you and hope this helps.

What voltage DC charger does a Midland LXT326 use?

http://www.buytwowayradios.com/Products/Midland/manuals/LXT-345-manual.pdf

I don't see it in there either. But since the battery is 4.8v, my educated guess would be somewhere around 6v. Its not stated in the manual though, and you can't see it on the picture towards the end where they offer a charger.

I don't know if you can charge by putting your own batteries in there. I'm guessing probably not, they usually put a different contact in there for the battery pack so you don't accidentally attempt to charge standard batteries.

It takes 4 AA batteries, that is 6 volts. You will find that a 6V 500Ma power supply will be the right thing, just make sure that the polarity of the plug is right!

WR-100 recieves fine with batteries but has nothing but static when plugged in

Check the back of the radio and make sure that the AC adapter is plugged in to an outlet that has the correct voltage for the radio to have power. Make sure that it is plugged into the DC jack securely.

Midland rechargeable battery packs won't recharge and vibrate

You might contact Midland Radio Corp to see if they have a fix for your problem. If I had to give an educated guess I would say the batteries need jump started (which sometimes happens when they are new and too low of charge; or there is a problem where they contact the charger and they are not receiving a full charge; or they are defective. I am sure the factory would be happy to assist you in solving the issue.

Midland radio battery pack constant vibrate

Hello pjbracht, I just responed to a duplicate of your problem. If they are new, return the battiers and confirm they are "by the book" replacements. If so ask for replacemrnts with a higher mAhr. It is not correct for vibration from a battery pack, lead, NiCad, Ni-MH, period.

Low battery icon on Midland LXT350 walkie-talkies

Your LXT350 is equipped for using an optional rechargeable NiMH battery pack which can be recharged by inserting the AC adapter into the radio charge jack, or with the optional desktop charger.

I would make sure the radio is off, then insert the charger. Charge only for the prescribed time (no more/no less) and remove from the charger.

Charge time is initially 24 hours. Charge time is about 12 hours thereafter. For maximum battery life, it is recommend charging the battery pack when the low battery icon comes on. Remove the radios from the charger when the charge time expires.

Supersonic SC-299TDVD

Battery back needs to be connected to the DVD player when charging. connect the batter pack to player. Run the DC/out from the battery pack to the DC/in in the player. plug the charger into the wall.

if that does not work, you have a bad battery
