SOURCE: mp3 memory loss

Remove the battery, let it dry at ambient temperature for a week.
Don't try hair dryers / heaters.
If doesn't work, replace.

If you have an accidental damage protection plan with your carrier, you can get your phone replaced. If you don't have any replacement plan, you'll probably end up having to replace your phone. Phone's don't like to be dropped in water. If you have a memory card with data on it (pictures, videos, contacts, address books, etc...) you can remove the memory card from the phone and keep your data; most memory cards are forgiving of water immersion.

My hp v250w 8gb pendrive not working

First DO NOT plug it in to any devices until you have totally dried it out...Some have kept their phones buried in rice for a week or so, but you have to have it totally dry or it will short out and will not work, or it may cause data loss too...

W don't you just get a memory stick for it? Then you don't have to "write off your $300 camera as a total loss"

It fell in water

If you're planning to fix it, you should do it ASAP because water damage can deteriorate. You're lucky that it works at all... Basicaly it's a matter of drying the insides, and getting rid of any residue besides the H2O - salts, sugars, minerals, and other chemicals. It can also be that the water short circuited the part that goes to the display, and you need to replace something in there. You're lucky with this player, aren't you? ;] Good luck
