Purchased Pro 9000-installed software per instructions but when icon is clicked nothing happens

    Logitech Pro 9000 was installed on Windows XP via disc. All instructions were followed. Program apparently did not install. When the icon is clicked nothing happens. I used the repair function with no success. Finally, I removed the application (via the disk)and then reinstalled. Instructions said installation was complete. Again, clicked icon to no avail. Tried going in through the the link on the "Start" button. Still no luck. Computer has been rebooted twice. Any ideas?

The installation is not complete or is damaged.

Try first restarting the computer and start the program again.

Try starting the software both from desktop icon, and locating the link on Start Button>All Programs.

Try temporary disabling security software (Norton, Mcafee).

If still no luck , try reinstalling the software.

If you use Vista, this time, instad of autorun CD or double click on the installer file, locate the file, then clic right button of mouse on setup file, and chose Run as Administrator from dropdown menu.

Try also disabling security software while you install the program.

Before reinstalling ensure that the computer specifications are enough to install the program, and that the program is compatible with operative system version.

Regards.

It is possible your webcam is either disabled or the driver is corrupted. Try reloading the webcam software driver, reboot, and then try the free webcam test tool to check if it is working properly.

My video stopped working on my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. No picture or video. I just used it last on Tuesday and now nothing. I even reinstalled the software..still nothing. Help!

Check if the device enumerated
click on Start
Computer > right click > manage > Device Manager, click on it

You should see in "Imaging devices" a "USB Video Device".

If not then device did not enumerate.
If you see a yellow circle in "oher devices" try to updated the driver by clicking on it.

make sure the following INF installed in %windir%\inf?

* usb.inf
* wdmaudio.inf
* wdma_usb.inf

The usb.inf is likely missing. Download it and place it in the windows\inf folder. Then remove all logitech drivers and software and re-install.
