Question about HP OfficeJet 4255 All-In-One InkJet Printer

The printer reinstalls everytime i connect it. tried updating the driver that i downloaded from HP website. but the problem has not stopped, and now, the scanner is not working, and i get the 'check the cartidge' message everytime i try printing. though, i have put new original HP cartidges.

Disconnect the printer from the PC / Laptop and try some standalone tasks like Black / Color photocopy or receiving / sending faxes. If still there is "check the cartridges" then there is something wrong with cartridges and you need to replace them.
Fully uninstall all the drivers and related HP softwares. Try a fresh installation downloaded from HP download site http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=351125&
. If you have multiple HP products install them according to there software version.
If still problem, the OS needed to be reinstalled.

unistall the software for the printer
you can download the unistaller from

reinstall the whole printer and the driver using the uninstaller
try and make a copy ,disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer and press power button for 20 to 30 sec

I need to scan documents from my printer to my computer and everytime I hit scan it tells me there is no computer connection even though they are connected. How do I fix this?


Try reinstalling the drivers. If you don't have the disc, then try going to HP's website to find the driver. Follow the instructions by the book on how to install this device.

Download the drivers from HP website and install teh drivers from website.

Unplug the printer before starting the driver installer software. The setup wizard will tell you when to connect the printer.

Hi rick835, are you using the CD that came with the HP 2410?
For what ever reason, the HP software did not install correctly & that is why HP software wants to reinstall. Follow HP's instructions to uninstall the software completely, see the HP link below.

When the software has been removed & before you reinstall, download this program, (Its free). Install RegCure & run the program so it can clean your windows registry.

Trying to re-install my hp psc 2355 & get errors


hello,

please try plugging the printer if it detected by PC. if it is detected maybe you need to update the driver of your pc. Please install the updated driver or reinstall the drivers of your system and then reinstall the printer software after rebooting. Disable the antivirus and other annoying program.

If this not solve the problem, please try download an updated driver from the hp website. www.hp.com
