It has a small speaker for bios events, eg. post codes beeps, but you would need to hook up speakers to hear sounds when you are in windows.

Hello. I can assist you. Yes, the ax1300 does have built in speakers. If you are not getting any sound, open your volume mixer and see what the current settings are. To do that click on the tiny speaker in the lower right corner of the screen. Also, for your reference, here is a link to all of the specifications for the aspire ax1300

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My acer aspire ax1300 is being retarded how do I just restore it to the original way I bought it

According to this site: http://www.futureshopforums.ca/t5/Computer-Services/URGENT-Reformatting-an-Acer-Aspire-Desktop/m-p/33454

it may be possible to get to your recovery partition by pressing ALT+F10 at the Acer symbol on powering up your computer, and then R (I think) for the recovery partition.

Hopefully that will work for you!

I have a acer aspire 4520 and the speaker drivers doesnt show up on device manager and the sound doesnt work at all do i have to replace my speakers completely?

Well, I would try to 'restore' to an earlier time when the speakers did work, or 'recover' to factory settings so the computer can install the appropriate driver for your built in sound card on the laptop.

Configuring Power Settings Using Power Options in Control Panel, you can adjust any power management option that your computer's unique hardware configuration supports. Because these options may vary widely from computer to computer, the options described may differ from what you see. Power Options automatically detects what is available on your computer and shows you only the options that you can control. To configure your power settings:
1.
Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options.
2.
Or, if you see the little battery indicator on your task bar, right-click it and then click Adjust Power Properties
I would put it on always on

The built in speaker on my acer aspire 6930 is not working

If you have reinstalled all correct drivers for this model and checked it aint a volume setting or such, it will be a break in the little cable that runs to speakers, easiest is to use external but if feeling talented and gental and very pateint one could pull it apart many screws, keyboard out, top cover off, one can have a look and replace cable if you can get one, most times driver issue, go to web or use original disks and reinstall all drivers relating to sound card.

Hi. Your computer does have an onboard, built-in microphone and speakers. I do not know what type of operating system you have (please provide that) but if you or anyone did a fresh install of an operating system, the drivers for the Acer machine may not have been installed. If this is the case, you can find the drivers here: http://www.vistaxpdrivers.com/download-acer-aspire-5338-windows-vista-drivers.html

If that is not the problem, it may be that the speakers are simply turned off in "control panel > sounds and audio devices". If you know how to check this, you should. If not, I'll help if you want. See ya.

This is Acer's office driver download section. You can also get there by going to Acer.com and clicking Support. Then select your product and find the correct driver.
