Question about Televison & Video

Our 20'' Magnavox has a jumpy picture whenever we plug in the dvd. We have switched cords, switched dvd players and still the same problem. We also tried factory reset on menu.

Color in black and white

Possible solutions....

1) These Apex players can handle multiple sytems (NTSC/PAL)
Is it possible it is switched in the wrong mode?

Follow the jumpy picture and enter the menu to see if it is switched in the PAL mode (You may have to follow the user manual and try to look at the screen carefully while following to menu flow)..

Some APEX units have a button on the remote to switch the systems.

2) I have also seen some TV's that will not handle the progressive scan mode...
Try switching in the menus.

Connect magnavox dvd to ge tv HELP!

What you will need is an RF modulator. They are relatively inexpensive and can be found at local electronic stores. The following link will provide you with a background on the device and how it functions and connects.http://hometheater.about.com/cs/dvdlaserdisc/a/aadvdrfmoda.htm I hope this has been helpful and thank you for using Fix Ya. If you need anymore assistance please let me know.

Magnavox MWR10D6 can't record from camcorder wrong channel

OK...try this...plug your RCA cables from your camcorder into the RCA input jacks on the back of the recorder. If you have a VCR, it can be plugged into the coax input on the back of the recorder. Use the coax output and plug it into a RF modulator (about $20 at Wal Mart). Plug the RCA output cables from the recorder into the RF modulator as well (Don't ask me why, but it seems to work on mine). Connect a coax cable from the RF modulator to the TV. Make sure the TV and Recorder are both on the right channel. The RF modulator will have a channel switch to use channel 3 or 4 on the TV. Make sure the recorder is set to E1 (Rear). You can check this with the channel +/- buttons on the bottom right of the remote. Good luck.

Dvd player

It could be that the DVD player is set to an improper scan setting (Interlaced/Progressive)

If the TV does not do Progressive scan it can sometime sshow up as jumpy, or not show a picture at all. See if there is any mention in your manual about this setting and change it back and forth just to eliminate this as an issue.
