Question about Haier HDP18PA Stainless Steel Free-Standing Dishwasher

1 Answer

I have a Frigidaire Professional series less than five years old. It won't run and flashes the wash, clean, and sanitize lights simultaniously. Any thoughts on what the problem is and whether it is worth fixing? This is the second Frigidaire I have had in ten years. The model number is PLD2851RDC3. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I go out and get my third dishwasher in ten years!

Thanks. When I try that it goes through 8 steps automatically and then stops. It then allows ,e to run a load but afterwards, it goes back to the three flashing lights. The only way for me to run another lead is to run the test again.

    Any thoughts?

Hi.

The two lights are not an error code, but they are telling that the machine is in failure mode.

The error code is retrieved performing a water/service test.

The water/service test is a special function initiated from the power failure mode or idle mode.

While in power failure or idlemode - simultaneously press the DRY/AIR DRY and START/CANCEL pads for 3 seconds.

The dishwasher will then step through the test cycle per the chart.
Pushing the START/CANCEL pad will advance the dishwasher to the next step.

Here table to understand fault from the diagnostic cycle:

I have a Frigidaire Professional series less than - 22519d3.gif

Another way two proceed is testing components that can cause the faults.

Components to be tested are inlet valve, door lock, two pressure switches, floater switch, pump, thermostat and timer board.

That will also tell you what the problem is.

Please do not forget to leave feedback.

Regards.

    Hi.

If it does stop at 8, that means that the problem is either drain or drying system.

If there is still water in the drain well or at the bottom of the tub, then you have a long drain caused by a defective water level device.
In fact a pressure or floater switch is used to determine when the drain is complete.
The pressure switch located in the drain system must be tested/

If there is no water, then it can be a drying problem.
In that case the first part to test is the high limit switch (thermostat) near to the dry system.
Drying fan and elements mist also be tested.
    Element is tested reading impedance.
Thermostat is tested reading impedance at room temperature.
Fan motor is tested by energizing.

If you want a quote on repair you can call the number listed on the owners manual.

To get part price you can try:

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Do not forget to leave feedback.

    Thanks.

Dishwasher will not go thru full cycle

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

Based off the information you provided your Frigidaire dishwasher will not complete a full cycle. It sounds like it could be an issue with the control panel or door switch. When your dishwasher stops working does it display an error code or do a series of lights flash? I would recommend performing a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your dishwasher by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Clean sanitized washing lights flashing

Hello Brian, thank you for your post!

I understand Clean, Sanitized and Washing feature lights are flashing. Let's try resetting your dishwasher. This can be done by either unplugging or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your dishwasher on. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, door latch assembly, or control board. At this point, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your dishwasher to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Best of luck, Chris!

My Frigidaire dishwasher - most buttons don't work and clean and sanitized lights are flashing after cycle completes.

Hello Rich - From what you have described if only some cycles are working, then there seems to be a communication problem coming from the main control panel, I would suggest contacting a professional technician to diagnose the unit.

Washing light is flashing and dishwasher won't start

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue returns after its cleaned then it means that the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My dishwasher has the sanitize option but at the end of the cycle the sanitize light is not on. It is about 3 years old. When does the sanitize happen during the cycle so I can open the door and measure...

Check your owners manual to see when the light should come on. If it comes on due to high temps, then the heater element may be bad. Run it, then see if element is hot (be careful !)

Dryer wont run but lights are on

check the door switch.or you may need to replce the main control panel. but you also need to check the thermal fuses inside the dryer cabinet, one of those can be bad.

Can't find the model number on Frigidaire dishwasher

The nomenclature should be located on the left side on the inside of the tub right by the front when you open the door. It is most likely an fdb series example fdb1050. however the drain hose pn 154606701 is the factory replacement for most frigidaire dishwashers ten years or less.

Frigidaire Professional series microwave won't heat

The most likely problem is the magnetron. Check your warranty in owners manual, I believe you have five year warranty on magnetron.

Error flashing and won't reset.

hi there,

PF stands for power failure. the first you should do is check your house breaker and make sure that you did not trip the fuse.

Does anything run? Can you hear the motor running? If not, you have no power coming into the machine. In this case it's the main control board that needs to be replaced.

If the motor hums, it means you have power to the d/w, in that case you need to replace the touchpad.

thanks
