These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Most likely the power supply capacitors are going bad.
Opening the TV and replacing any swollen caps may solve your issue.

The flashing light red power light should only stay while the fan cool down for about 1 minute after a power off (remember to always wait before unplugging the TV so the lamp can cool down with the fan). Does that flashing start right away after plugging back the TV after an hour of letting it without AC power.

The red light should flash no longer than 10 sec. This prepare the light to be turned on. If all is OK the green should stay (no longer flashing) and the sound and picture come on.

As for the lamp flashing, i bet it's only 1 time each 5 sec? Or do it group many rapid flash each 5 sec?

Things that can be wrong:
-the fan lamp

-the lamp is not proprely inserted (wait an hour before manipulating it to be sure it cooled down, and use glove to not put body oil on it).

-Lamps is defective and is not operating properly so you can't get to the usual on screen message that recommend to change the lamp.

Two problems: first, tv turns off for about 10 seconds after being on awhile, then turns back on. 2nd, picture will sometimes go black horizontally displaying only half of the upper screen. This will go on for about an hour off and on.

That blinking led is an error code for the audio standby board in the set. It should not go out this soon and yes it should last longer.

When the lamp fails in this unit, often the thermal fuse opens. The error code is 6 blinks. To replace this part requires a great deal of deal of disassembly.

Yes they will still fix it for you as their is test points on the board where they can check each part for faults as you told them their was 3 flashing lights they will know whats wrong with it anyway as this is for the tech guys to diagnose what fault it is the lights flashing 3 times will tell them the problem so dont worry they will fix it for you and they should give you warranty anyway so you will be ok
