The waste toner tank is a consumable part that fills with unused toner and needs to be replaced occasionally. Check your manuals for the location of the waste toner tank

Hi my printers saying ink tank is nearly full contact canon press resume to continue printing can i solve this problem by myself

The inks tank that it is referring to is the waste ink tanks, which are sponges.

Yes it is possible to do the job yourself if you are up to it.

What you will need to do is remove the cover of the printer, usually some screws need to be undone.
The the sponges need to be removed and rinsed in water, use latex gloves as you don't want the ink on your hands. Be sure sure to wear old clothes.
The sponges are located on the right hand side of the printer, usually around 4 or 5 packed together.

Once they are cleaned of ink, let them dry in the sun.
Then reinstall them, and reassemble the printer.

Once all that is done you will need to find the Canon, resetting software. It is difficult to find, as it is meant to be used by printer Technicians.
Reset the waste ink counters and you printer will be back to normal again.

The other option is to get a Printer Technician to do the job for you.

Thanks
Till next time!

Waste Ink Near Full on Canon MP730

I dont know the exact process that I have done before, however the trick is to zero your page count, and this worked twice for me. The printer figures your waste ink reservoir (actually a sponge) is near full by a page counter. There are articles out there on how to repair this physically but please dont go there, get a new printer or even better an less used MP730.

Canon BJC- 1000 LPT 1 printer. STATUS: the used ink tank is full. printer not performing.

HI,

Your printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. As time goes by, the waste ink tank gradually fills. When the waste ink tank is nearly full, you should receive a "Waste ink warning" error when you print. Press the RESUME button on the printer to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, have the waste ink tank replaced.

Canon muti-pass MP360 INK TANK FULL

I believe what you are seeing is "WASTE INK TANK FULL"? This means that the tank that collects the waste ink from cleaning the head is full. You can read more than you ever want to know on this subject on the following link: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/38697#1 These are the steps to clear the message by reseting the counter: 1)Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan Now you should be in service mode from there for waste ink tank reset 2)Select Test mode which is like the last available selection 3)Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other options this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button The menu will now say EEPROM Clear Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set Your done!
