SOURCE: Cannon smartbase MP360 inkjet printer

I had a similar problem.  Are you sure that the head in back in contact with the paper.  There is a small blue slider button on the head.  It should be pushed to the right for printing and to the left in order to free any paper that gets stuck.  With ours it looks like someone freed some paper then never put the slide back so that the head and paper were in contact.
Once that was done we had a major cleaning task to do because the printer hadn't actually printed for a while but that is another story.

SOURCE: Canon MP500 Printing Problem

I had same problem today. Removed print head and bathed it in alcohol for half an hour. Then I removed the two screws underneath and used a syringe to squirt alcohol into the ports and clean. I noticed clumps of ink coming out (i guess some ports were blocked). I then dried the head and reinserted and reinstalled ink tanks. All looks good so far- black printing again and printed test patterns all look correct. Good luck.

SOURCE: Colors are not printing out true.

I replaced the Office Max ink substitute with an original Canon ink. This did not help. I decided this problem most probably had to be a printer head issue, so I gave up and bought a new printer instead.

SOURCE: iP4300 only recognizes magenta OR cyan

1. Get compressed air
2. Run Printhead under HOT water, do not worry about contacts getting slightly wet.

3. Blow compressed air with straw attachment into screens where the cartridge nozzle sits on printhead. then let it sit and dry.

4. reinstall print test page

5. if this fails open paint/photoshop and print a page of the color that is not printing correctly. rinse and repeat until colors flow freely.

I have several ip4300s and I have yet to give up the ghost on a printer with a clog ujsing this method.

How do I fix my printer it prints blank sheets it acts like its printing but the paper is still blank I did nozzle and print head checks nothing still blank

I hate to state the obvious, but how long has it been since you've changed the ink cartridges on the printer. If you have done both the nozzle cleaning and print head alignment and nothing appeared on the paper, I don't know what else it could be.
This following suggestion is very rare - if you recently replaced the cartridges and your printer hasn't printed since then, it is possible that you installed them incorrectly; OR perhaps you left the head protector tape on the cartridge. But then it wouldn't "see" the cartridge.
In the "rare" situations, you should try to remove and replace the cartridges to assure that they are properly installed.

What is the cause of new cartridges running out of ink while checking trying to align print head?

You must replace the print head., as long as printer detecting that nozzles are not firing properly., it keep on cleaning the head, result it will drains the inks from the ink tanks...once you replaced both print head & tanks, take print outs at least twice in a week., perform nozzle cleaning once in a month to avoid this type of nonsense..

Does not print, just a faint black print, the cartriges are half full.

your printer is a photo printer which consumes considerable amount of inks when printing... you may need to perform a head cleaning process to clear the clogg on your nozzle. this may consume your ink cartridges... i suggest that you convert your printer into a CISS (continous ink supply system) this is more cost effective instead of buying ink per ink as this shows the same output as the regular ones.

check out ebay for people who convert epson system to CISS
note: doing the head cleaning process always takes ink to force the clogg out of the nozzle tube

hope this helps

I've just replaced the black ink cartridge for my Epson Stylus TX100, ink level is ok as the indicator shows. But i get blank prints for black, other colors are fine. What's wrong with the black ink...

There is nothing wrong with the black ink. Just run the head cleaning for better printing.

1. Go to printer and faxes
2. Right click your printer ( Epson Stylus Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner InkJet)
3. Click printing preferences
4. Click Maintenance Tab
5. Click Head Cleaning
6. Run head cleaning for 5 times then try printing.

Yellow cartridge stopped workin halfway through a document although nearly full

Hi, one or two head cleans won't clear a badly clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://www.powerklin.co.uk/?gclid=CNGDypir-JgCFQ4yQgodZlC4lw
Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Epson c66 won't print

If your cartridges have been sitting in the printer for a year, it seems likely they have dried out. Replace them with new cartridges, but make sure you use the proper cartridge replacement procedure so that a ink charging cycle takes place. Then do a nozzle check. Is there any sign of ink on the paper?. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

If you have done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have good ink cartridges properly installed, then you can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may
now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then try a head clean/nozzle check again. Try this process twice if necessary. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

Won't print in black

open your list of printers. r/click on the 780 and open properties. fo to the last tab "maintenance" and run cleaning 2 or 3 times then run deep cleaning 2 or 3 times. and see how this helps. If you've never done it before you might want to take out the print head and clean it with alcohol. Take out all the ink like you were changing them then reach in and gently pull out the container that holds the ink. This is the print head. Clean it and replace it, then run clean and deep clean again. run Nozzle check to see how clean it's become and you'll definetly see a difference in your printing. good luck
