Xerox Fiery Xp12 - Problem (INVALID LICENCE) apears on the screen

My fiery Xp12 worked finre for a couple of year until some weeks ago, i had power/electrical problems and the fiery could re start the system, i asked a xerox technician to provide me the system software i instaled the operating system, windows nt works fine but wen it begins to run the fiery software the fiery display the following error (INVALID LICENCE SIYSTEM WILL SHUTDOWN). I still couldn't find a solution to this weird porblem.
Any Help Please?

    hi i am mahesh from india new delhi, problem is that when i am sending a print commond from pc to fiery the commond go to fiery but dc 12 is not accepting commond from fiery and on the display of fiery turn off the copier and on i did so many time but not printing and some time massage check the cable also. pls. tell me what is the problems.

    i have the same problem after new installation (invalid licence ) can u please help me is any hardware requied for this probem or just need to install new licence file ?

    i asked about the fiery x12 invalid license error but the i seen the answer above was for fiery ex12. please helpe me regardign the isuue i am facing in x12.

Ibought 2nd hand machine from market and i donot have the Update Server Software CD pl. suggest from where i can get this cd

You will need to use what came with your machine.
The note from Xerox states this.

NOTE: You will need the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD and the User Documentation v2.0 CD that came with your EX12 v2.0 Software

And here is the loading process

  1. Visually check to make sure the Fiery LCD is at the Idle screen before you proceed. This will make sure the Fiery is not in use.
  2. Insert the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD into the Fiery EX12.
  3. Press [Menu] button on the Fiery Server.
  4. Press the [Down arrow] button.
  5. Press the [Shut Down] button.
  6. Press the [Reboot System] button. The message 'Rebooting System' will display and disappear after a few moments. The Fiery Server will reboot and complete internal testing. The Restore / Update CD menu will be displayed.

    NOTE: Ignore the message 'It's now safe to power off the system'.

  7. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Restore System' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'All data will be Deleted. Continue?' message will be displayed.
  8. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Yes' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'Restoring System...' message will be displayed.

    NOTE: The System Restore will take approximately 7 minutes, during this time the message 'Restoring System...' will continue to be displayed.

  9. Press the [OK] button when the 'Restore Complete!' message is displayed.
  10. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Exit' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button.
  11. Remove Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD from the EX12.
  12. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  13. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  14. The EX12 will prompt you to insert the User Documentation CD. Insert the CD and the Fiery will continue with the process. When the process is complete, the Fiery LCD will display the message 'Please remove CD'.
  15. Remove the User Documentation CD
  16. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  17. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  18. Using the Configuration Report as reference, re-enter the network settings on the EX12.
  19. Install any required patches, as needed. Refer to the Updated Information section on the Configuration Report.
  20. If needed, restore any data that you previously archived. See the Related Items.

    Yep you do. That is why it says YOU NEED to have the CDs that came with your machine.

    They only work on ONE machine and can't be loaded machine to machine.

    Obviously if you have done this before you don't know eh?

How to fast print image? my problem is a image size 5.71 mb then in printer show 85.5 mb after 4 minutes it print! this prociger is too long? i have P4 dual core pc with 2 mb ram its harware problem? what...


I suggest you get used to it or upgrade to a newer machine. I have 2 doc 12 and files that took 45 minutes to rip with the XP12 fiery and 20 minutes with the XP12e fiery or about 2 minutes my new equipment

Fiery xp12 is loading without end


Have you checked the paper trays are filled and ready? Also unplug for a couple of min's and see if that clears the memory as it may be trying to forfill a print request the never compleated.... Had this happen a few times....

First 30 pages of a print run after 24hrs idle are blank


don't upgrade the xp, it runs a limited version to ensure that the command workstation works ok. A reload is probably in order to start again. Any updates can generally be found on the xerox website, and installed via command workstation
