Good morning.wonder if you could help. there have been problems with our internal extension numbers lately. calls trying to come through our outside lines could not reach us through our extensions, they been getting messages like 'invalid extension numbers have been entered'. also, we've not been able to make any outside calls. we've got in touch with our phone lines supplier and they suggested that it's the phones that are faulty and not the lines...

SOURCE: had to rebuild mailboxes and now the main inbound number cannot dial internal extensions.

Does feature 983 still show as an inactive feature? You need to reinitialize the feature codes if the system was reset.

Please post what is currently happening.

SOURCE: how to chg a norstar mailbox from 'General Delivery' to 'User'

check under the mailbox set up ( where you created it) for that extension that the extension number of that phone is on that mailbox> in other words, you could create mailbox 221, but assign it to 222. The Gen Delivery box is 100 which is the catch all for transfers that cannot be completed.

System Admin access is available from any 7310 or higher model phone. You need a password and overlay..or a picture of what the buttons do in programming.

NEC SL1000 Internal Calling not working

There could be a few different reasons why this is happening. Here are some things you can try:
  1. Check the extension settings: Make sure that the extension in question is set up correctly in the NEC SL1000 system. Double-check the extension number, ringing pattern, and other settings to ensure that they are all correct.
  2. Check the phone: Try swapping out the phone itself to see if the problem is with the phone rather than the system. Test the phone on another extension to see if it behaves the same way.
  3. Check the wiring: Make sure that the wiring for the extension is correct and that there are no loose connections or broken wires. Check the wiring all the way back to the PABX.
  4. Check the programming: Check the programming of the system to make sure that there are no conflicts or issues with the extension in question. Look for any programming errors or conflicts with other extensions.
  5. Check for system errors: Check the system logs for any errors or messages related to the extension in question. Look for any error messages that might indicate a problem with the system or with the extension itself.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact NEC technical support for further assistance.

Hi i have a panasonic KX-TES824 installed with 2 co lines and 4 extensions. I want the ringtones to be different for internal telephones (ie call between the extensions) and the CO Lines (when call comes...

A Panasonic Analog PTS ring sound is not adjustable, however, the cadence is. An outside call rings with a single ring, an internal call is either voice announce or a double ring. The digital phones from Panasonic have either 8 or 30 different tones, but that's a different system.

I have 1 extension that will not go to voice mail. I have tried the *713 and a 2 digit number between 00 and 99 and it still just rings endlessly. When I make an inner office call to this ext... it picks...

What happens when you TRANSFER an outside call to that extension? If that works, you have Intercept issues which is handled with programming. If it still does not transfer, you have CF issues, started by a *710x command for both internal and outside calls.

TO KNOW THE PRIVATE CALL NO ON MY PHONE

There is no way in which you can come to know the private number shown as private number on your clip. I can only tell you what it is. These type of private numbers are shown when they come from a company having 6-7 lines which in turn are connected to internal exchange with 200-500 extensions. Every extn has to dial zero to dial outside line. and once they do so their own extension number is not recorded anywhere in such companies. Somehow if you get that land line number then also it would be of no use to you because you won't be able to find from which extension that call was made.

Stop ringing at main phones when outside calls come in.

Here is a link to program line ringing.

It sounds like your extension is forwarded (confirmed by the one beep you hear on an incoming call.

From any display phone, press Feature 11
then enter your extension number 2 times. So if you are extension 20, do this:
Feature11-20-20
see if that does it.

Unable to see if an internal extension is engaged

It doesn't exactly work that way, but you can program the extensions back under the buttons. Pick a button that you want to save an extension under and press FEAT *2 the button and dial the 2 or 3 digit extension number. Now the button monitors the status of the extension. It will light whether it's in DND, or busy on an outside or internal call.

Voicemail box not set up

I have seen the same problem with some users (I look after the PABX) so I just go into the maintenance console and set up the foreward to the default voice mail number. Or you can try the following:

CALL FORWARDING HANDSET 1. Press the Speaker Phone Key on your handset 2. Then Press the FWD/DND Key 3. Then select the Forward type you desire - Key 2 - Immediate Key 5 - Busy/No Answer 4. Then dial the internal extension number (eg.444) or voicemail pilot (201) 4a. If forwarding to external number dial 0 then dial outside telephone number 5. Dial # then press the Speaker Phone key

Use the voice mail that is set for your system.

Hope this helps

Internal intercom

If the person you are trying to reach is speaking to another internal extension, none of the outside lines will show in use. If their phone is not Call-Forwarded to any other extension (i.e. second extension or VM), you will get a busy.
