I am trying to download music I purchased on itunes to my mp3 player. It shows it on the list when I have it on the computer, but does not show or play on the actual mp3 player. What do I do>

Hi dasdis07...

You did not say what manufacture your MP3 player is so it is hard to tell you what to do.
I will assume you have a normal MP3 player...not an Ipod.
Check to see what format your MP3 player will play...because the I-tunes songs are in ACC.
Normal everyday players play MP3,WMA,ect...but will not play ACC that plays on ipods.
You will also need to download (FREE) and run a media converter so that you can convert your ACC music files to MP3,WMA,etc files that will play on your MP3 player.
Once you have your music converter and on Windows Media Player, then you can transfer them to your MP3 player
What your going to have to do is follow these instructions below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Hi,
one option is to 'roll back' the player to a previous model that did not encounter any such problems.
go to Start, then Control Panel, and Add/Remove Programs. Next, click on the Windows Media Player 11 icon and click Uninstall. (or)
Next,Tools menu within Media Player itself, after whch you need to click on Options. Then you must click the Network tab and in the Streaming proxy settings area, you need to verify your settings. If you're not sure what the correct settings are, first, click on Configure, and then in the Configure Protocol dialog box, select Autodetect proxy settings.
(or)
Open Tools, select Options, and then select Devices. When this comes up, make sure that the correct audio for your PC is checked, and this could very well make your problem disappear.

Cannot play any music

This looks like a Windows Media player error code. If so, try this.

The following are the steps that you should perform if your player is not receiving streams:

Open Windows Media Player.
If you don't see the menu selections File View Play Tools Help at the top of the player, RIGHT-click on the very top of the player and select Show Menu Bar.
Select Tools and then Options and the Network tab.
Under the Streaming Protocols section, be sure that ONLY TCP and HTTP are selected.
Select the Performance tab.
In the Connection Speed section, select Detect Connection speed (recommended).
Select the Player tab.
In the Automatic Updates section, be sure that Download Codecs Automatically is checked.
Be sure that Connect to the Internet (overrides all other commands) is checked.
Select the File Types tab.
Click the Select All button.
Click OK and totally close the player and try connecting again.

Error code COOD11B1 in windows media player 11

This error code is to with DRM (digital rights management) within WMP.

The only solution i could find was from Microsoft themselves.

Have a read of this page and give it a go...

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920075

Where is asks you to start IE, it has to be IE and no other browser as for some reason this update only works if you use IE.

Hope this helps
