As your display says WAIT then the most likely cause is that you are using the wrong code.(Often the radio has been changed in the past so the Serial Number or Code quoted in the car handbook is incorrect)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST A NEW  QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Turn radio on and leave! It could be minutes or hours.....depends on how many attempts to input code have been made! The radio will eventually be ready to accept code! If you turn radio off before it reaches the code stage the process starts again.......so turn radio on and leave, just keep checking the screen for indication of code ready to be input!

Hi I contacted Mercedes for my Radio Code.WDB1680332J607431 I entered the code given but it does not accept it.

You must have been quoted the wrong code.
Get it checked

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code
First remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

You can obtain the code from daewoousa. Remove radio and get serial number from radio (white strip with black numbers on radio) Email this to daewoousa and they will email back your 4 digit code. To input code, disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable, pause, then reconnect. Your radio face will now flash "code" Input the 4 digit code given to you. Radio will play after about 15 seconds.

Car radio Code

You will probably have to contact the manufacturer and speak to a technician to get the factory reset code. Chances are, the code was put in by the previous owner of the car. When this code is entered, it makes it impossible for the unit to operate if stolen. Hope this helps...
