You don't have to have the spindle... just go to "touch settings" and turn the vibrate on. I had the same problem.

What can I do to stop that annoying beep sound

Usually that "beep" alert is an indication that your phone is NOT on vibrate, but on "beep". Check your side volume keys and make sure that your setting is on vibrate, then click "ok" to confirm your changed preference.

My n95

Hello,

Vibrate must be enabled for the profile you are in. You can change profiles by pushing the power button and not holding it down. As far as touch screens go, the Nokia N95 does not come with a touch screen on any version, if you had this capability then you must have a different phone or a fake N95. Hope this helps! Happy Hollidays!
