Hello ive got a mini digital camera on it its write vivitar f2.8 f=3.9 It is purple and grey. I would like to get the drivers please i cannot find a free link on the website or internet

Hey, I had this exact same problem the other day. After hours of searching, I finally found this. It contains everything that you will need. Here's what to do:
  1. Extract the files to a folder.
  2. Open it up, and click on "Setup"
  3. Follow the on screen directions, and restart your computer.
You should now be able to download the pictures from the camera.

Can not figure out what the icons mean and how to get right setting

This is obviously an older model camera. Here are some, if not all, of the icons used:

Vivitar does not have any online support for this camera. You can see the following camera which is a little newer, but should have some of the same operating instructions:

Vivitar 4090 Manual

You can also try Vivitar's customer support, which they recommend if you cannot find support on their site. The number is:

1-800-592-9541 (US)
0-800-917-4831 (UK)

Thanks for using Fixya. Hope this helps you.

Click on this link for the User Manual:

Once you open it, use the small floppy icon and save a copy to your computer.

For reference, here is the support page for your camera where you can also download the manual:

Click on the Downloads menu item.

The software you have should be fine.

The device driver still works with Windows XP. The only reason this comes up is because Vivitar didn't send the driver to Windows to be "signed off". Vivitar still did their tests and made sure it works. So you can pretty well ignore the warning.

If you say Yes, to continue, you can still use the camera, or can't you? Or, I guess you really don't have the drivers.

Visit this link and do the free registration and you can get the drivers. Enjoy your picture taking.

Hope this helps, if so, rate a FixYa! ThankYa!

My new mini...

Hmm, there isn't a little viewing screen? Anyway, you can download the images to your computer and view them there. Either hook the camera up to your computer via the cable that came with it. Or, you'll need a card reader & take the card out and hook up the reader to the 'puter and insert card. If you're using Xp a image downloading wizard thingy will pop-up and walk you thru the process. If not, after hooking camera or card up to 'puter, click on "my computer" find your device and click on it to open & view photos there. And transfer images to your computer too.
