The H stands for high speed, would check with manufacturer if your camera will support High speed card. It should but better safe than sorry

Up to how many gb memory card can i put on this digicam

The specs for this camera say it uses an xD-Picture card from 16 to 512 MB. That's Megabytes.

Here is the main support page for your camera with links to manuals and other downloads.

My new Kodak memory -XD picture card type M will not function

It's possible that your camera is not compatible with the new card.  The C-350 and D-560 will only accept cards up to 512 MB <URL:http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/208_1212.htm>.  You might want to check with Olympus anyway: there might be a firmware update or something.

Unfortunately, most shops only carry the bigger cards now, if they carry xD cards at all.  If you bought the card from Crucial, I would expect they would take it back if it's not compatible.

How big of an XD card

Hi,

According to the Fuji web site, your camera can handle up to 2GB xD Picture Cards that are Type M, M+, or H.

Here is their complete compatibility list:

Problem with memory (xd) card and camera

Look for a manual lock next to your XD memory card slot on your computer. Your computer may not have one but there are a few that do.

If there isn't one, go to My Computer, look for your memory card in the window. Move the mouse over to the memory card and select properties. Make sure that the read only box isn't filled in. If it is, click on it until it is empty.

Copy the contents of the memory card to your computer. Reinsert the memory card into your camera and reformat the memory card in your camera for the utilities option on your camera. If it doesn't reformat, there could be something wrong with the memory card.

FINEPIX A340

the only wayi found to make the card accepted is to upgrade the firmware software, this can be downloaded from fuji website, and extract the file and copy it in the initial memory card supplied with the camera, then put bnewly charged batteries or ac adapter and on the camera holding the disp/back button. then it will show the option for the update, and then click ok . after installing ne firmware switch of the camera and put the new xd card on the camera and format the card. this will enable you to shoot inthe new card.

It's not the camera - my Fuji xd memory card

Look for the FORMAT Disk routine.
Consult the owners manual to find out how to get there, would be the easiest way.

XD 1GB card

i think it's just 'cos of the sheer size of the memory it has to access. mine works quite quickly but when i put in a 512 it takes a lot longer i would not say there is anything wrong - just teh limitations of a device which was designed when even 128MB was a luxury ricardi, shropshire
