Normally the belt does not go thoough any special tensioners or anything of that nature,The belt should go directly from the spindle motor onto the inside of the platter. Hook the belt on the motor section and lay the belt open wide inside the turntable. Next, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter inside, through the two large holes. Move by hand slowly to see waht happens. If the belt slips off again, it may be streched and needs to be replaced

2 problems, 1st turntable run at 45 speed when on 33 setting. 2nd, turntable won't move unless you help it.

It depends if these are belt or direct drive decks. If they are belt, then in the first fast speed one the belt might have slipped and is now on the 45 setting when it should be on the 33 setting.

The other deck has either a really **** belt, or a bad motor, or needs oiling or having grease or muck removed from it's works.

A whole list of problems can make direct drive decks act this way.

Hello My turntable do not spin

This turntable is a belt driven type. The belt wraps around the underside of the platter and the drive motor spindle. If the belt has slipped off, broken or is so old that it is slipping - the platter will not turn. Usually you can remove the rubber cover on the top of the platter to use access openings beneath to put the belt back on.

The turntable product brochure, owner's manual and related info is available from Pioneer, here.

I hope this helps!

The power steering is out and I can hear a pulley going bonkers. There is a squealing sound like a belt isn't catching, and also an oscillating sound like a pulley is loose and moving back and forth or...

i am having a similar problem. my power steering pully is loose. im pretty sure i have to replace the pump and the pully however my power steering still works but the belt squeals.check all the pullys they drive the belt or belts. its usually always either the tensioner thats the pully that allows you to remove the drive belt or the power steering pully which sucks the most because you must remove the entire power steering pump to replace the pully and since you have to go through all that trouble you might as well replace the entire power steering pump as well. i am not a mechanic so try and find more information.

go to www.jackssmallengine.com, it has a great parts look-up database, I have the same mower, I know that is called a "v-belt", not sure where you live but this will at least give you a manufacturer's part # so you can find it locally easier. This site also gives you an exploded diagram so you will see how the belt is routed on the deck assembly.

KENMORE DRYER MOD# LEQ9858LWO WILL NOT TURN BUT HEATS

If you hear a humming, then it is probably a broken or slipped belt from the motor to the drum. There is usually a pully on the shaft of the motor, a tensioner pully on a spring, and a groove on the back of the drum that the belt rides in. If this belt breaks or comes off track, the motor will still spin but the drum won't.

You will probably need to take the front or back off of the dryer (varies by model) to expose a view of the belt, and once you do this, it will be easier to see if the motor is turning or the belt has broken or slipped.

If the belt has slipped, be sure to inspect it for wear, and replace it if worn. Otherwise, it will slip again and you'll have to repeat the process.

Belt for the turntable technics SL-BD27U

Hi,

Hmm sounds advanced...

I'm no turntable guru, so I won't pretend to be anything more than I am.
I just bought an SL-BD22 myself, and at first it worked, but didn't turn; I soon realised the belt had slipped off.
I don't know if there's an official way to put it back, but I managed to put it back on within minute and it's working fine now (except the auto-return kicking in way too early, but that's another story; that's *my* problem...)

the way I did it was remove the platter mat, so you see the metal circle with holes in it, maybe you can see the belt through the holes ?
What I did was carefully then remove the metal disc, making sure I didn't pull on the belt (I tried feeling for the belt with my fingers then making sure it came off at the same time as the metal disc, to not stretch it)

Then, once metal plate and belt were off, I slid the belt around the inside of the metal disc - where it's supposed to be. It sort of just fit with only very little slack.
Since there are holes in the metal bit - here's the fiddly part - I placed the metal disc in front of me right-way-up, and put the belt (already around the inside of metal disc) also around one of my fingers poking throguh one of the holes from the top.
I then slowly and gently lowered the metal plate back to it's resting place, having my finger-with-the-belt-around-it right next to where the belt was supposed to go over the small cylinder shaped thing/pully/drive/whatever you call it.
Whilst lowered, I then slid the belt off of my finger and onto the pulley-thing.

There you go, the belt was around the motor pulley thing, and the metal plate. Put the platter mat back on, and switch it on to make sure it turns.
I've only had to do this once, but it worked first time.

Hope it works for you :)

Dan

Serpentine belt slips off idler pulley

The A/C pully is supposed to spin freely until the AC is activated to run.. The cranshaft pully does not. Replace the tensioner pully. The belt has to fit in between the grooves on the pullys.

Fixing a Kenwood KD 491F turntable

The reason why the audio is low, is that todays receivers do not have a phono input, and these types of inputs are differant then the ones of today. You will need whats called a phono preamp, and one should still be available from Radio shack. Or you can go here to find out more about them: http://www.phonopreamps.com/ To reseat the belt, take off the rubber mat on the turntabe disc. Install the belt around the inside ridge, there should be a couple of holes on the platter disc. Install the patter back onto the center spindle. Turn the platter around till you see the motor pully through one of the holes in the platter. Take the belt that is around the turntable platter, and pull it over to the motor pulley. Good Luck
