SDBARBAS - You might try using the very easy "Hobart" smartparts webapp on the Hobart website. Cut and paste this into your browser Address line: http://catserv1.itwfeg.com/Hobart-Root/items.cfm, which is the parts list and an exploded view of the assembly for: Planetary, Tumbler and Agitator Shaft Unit Assembly. Go to Item # 64, and select "Add". The screen will change to 'Parts Selected'. Increase Qty to 4, hit "Update Quantities" and then hit "Confirm Parts Selected". On the next screen, select "Find Service Office", and follow the instructions on that pop-up window. You should be able to find a Hobart Service Office in your area that can price out your 4 tumbler yoke and shifter pin assembly. Good Luck... I hope this is helpful.

    - I was a bit hasty providing the link above. I failed to mention that you first have to register with Hobart to access their Hobart 'smartparts' app. It's well worth the effort. See the msg from Hobart below:

If you have previously registered via the www.HobartLink.com site, please access www.HobartLink.com via the www.HobartCorp.com site. If you are a new user please register via the www.HobartCorp.com site.
Sorry for the confusion - Howard

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The frequency is the same in all gears.
disconnect the power and invert the mixer and remove the planetary after driving out the taper pin, then you can access the transmission. It may be a rotor shaft bearing in the motor or no grease on the worm gears.
Nice touch with the video.

My hobart n50 has no ground on the power cord, also any ideas on where to get parts?

If the ground pin on the cord is missing, you can put a new plug on the end of the cord -- hardware stores have them.

I have a Hobart N50 and am in need of a SS bowl. The bowl pins are 8 7/8" apart. Do they make a replacement bowl for this? I've seen the ones that have 9" bowl pins. Thanks, Ron

Hobart N50 Tripped

The reset button is to protect over amping the motor. The N-50 is not a very strong unit, (commercially), but you won't break a gear. If you overload the unit, you'll either trip the overload (reset button), or you will break the taper pin that attaches the planetary to the center shaft.

If you're looking for a small commercial unit, and you're in the US, look into the 10 qt Precision Mixer.

Planetary shaft for h600 is bent

Thats the center shaft and if it moves back and forth the lower bearing is bad or the shaft has cracked. You need to remove all 3 shaft assemblys. if you already removed the gears on the center shaft then you need to remove the shifting yoke---turn power off to machine then take the screws off the trim plate where you shift speeds, you might see a switch that sits up on the shifter cam, remove the screws and put switch aside, take the 4 allen screws off and pull on the shifter(it will come out).If you didnt already drain the oil do it before you mess with the shifter.after the shifter is out grab the upper left gear assy. and the gear assy. below it,rock both gear assy. and pull up,they will both come out(you might need some force)once out remove the remaining gears on the center shaft and remove the shifting yokes.you then need to remove the planetary (lower part of mixer)if not already done, then pull the shaft out from the bottom.any questions let me know.
