Question about HP Computers & Internet
I have an Advent 5302 laptop with Windows Vista. The printer is a Lexmark X5150 All in One. It was installed ocrrectly and functioned properly. Suddenly it stopped. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I am told the printer spooler is not working. I have tried various suggestions from Microsoft online and still it does not correct the fault. I have followed the steps you have suggested to start the spooler manually and still nothing materialises. What next? Appreciate your asssisance. Am sure there is a simple explanation/solution. You can manually start the printer spooler...
click the Start button and, in the Start Search area - type in compmgmt.msc then hit the ENTER key. This starts Computer Management.
On the left side, go to the bottom and expand the Services and Applications area. Click on Services.
On the right side, scroll down to Printer Spooler, right click it and click Properties.
Change the Startup Type to Automatic and then click the START button.
If this fails to start, this may be caused by a recently installed program.
Please report the results of the above suggestion.
