Hi, it sounds to me as though this motor you are speaking about is on its way out.If it is making this loud buzzing, and then shuts off on internal overload, the motor is about gone. Does it restart after it sits for awhile and then does the same all over again? If so, you will need to have the motor replaced. If I were fortunate enough to be on site I could test the windings to see what there values are with a mega-ohm meter. Hope this has been of help to you,Sincerely, Shastalaker7

Try changing the capacitor located in the outdoor unit.

The thermal cut out will shut off the motor if the capacitor is bad and therefore not supplying the start winding with sufficient power to turn the motor. Change the capacitor.

My dryer starts the first time with no problem, but after about an hour it starts to make a kind of buzzing sound. If I don't shut it off at this point it shuts itself off after another minute or two....

You are absolutely correct that the motor is the problem and needs to be replaced. The motor is overheating and its thermal overload protector trips off causing the dryer to shut down. Thermal overload protector resets and allows the motor to run again only when it has cooled down. It is the reason why the dryer is not turning on immediately after it shuts off. Replacing the motor will definitely solve the problem.

Keurig turns off after making only one cup, when turned bsck on, it makes a loud buzzing sound for a few minutes, then shuts off again (during this buzzing, always says "not ready", never gets back to...

I just solved this problem with my Keurig Plantnum. It seems that the valve that lets the water in is sensitive to clogs or sticking. Or perhaps like me, you have very hard water and calcium is starting to build up. Anyway, what worked for me was filling the resevoire all the way and turning the unit on. Then while the pump was buzzing I lightly jiggled the reseviore and all of the sudden the water level started to go down.

Radial saw motor just buzzes.

It sounds like the start circuit is shot on the motor of the radial saw. It is trying to start, (the buzzing sound), but the start is not is burnt out, and therefore the run winding is drawing excessive amperage trying to start the motor (a job it is not designed to do) and eventually builds a amp draw in excess of the circuit. You will have to determine which is cheaper a new motor, or a new saw.

Hope this helps

Loud buzz when starting, then shutting down after 10 min.

Yes, this sounds like the motor cutting out on thermal lockout.

Intermittent operation

This sounds very simple. If the dryer vent hose is partially blocked, the unit will overheat and shut down on thermal lockout. This is an auto reset limit switch. After the unit cools down, it will reset on it's own. This will be very intermittent. Clean the vent real good and be sure to clean the vent inside the unit as well. Then retry.

Dryer makes squeaking noise ,then dryer shuts off. mdl.#CYG4000AWW

Hello, sounds like the rear drum rollers are in need of replacement which is causing the motor to get hot and cut out on the thermal cut out. It can be tricky to service if you not handy. Good Luck

Loud buzzing after heating up

the buzzing is normal.  there is an element inside the quartz tube much like a filament in a light bulb.  as this heats up it starts to move.  where you have electrical energy you also have magnetism produced. metal objects vibrate when they are in or within a magnetic field. the element is tungsten wire and vibrates off this magnetic field.
