It will be easier to transfer picture from the camera to the computer also easyshare software has feature to enchance picture download not to mention that you can send picture thru email using the esayshare software. Transferring pictures/videos with the USB cable 1 Turn off the camera. 2 Plug the labeled end of the USB cable into the USB port on your computer. 3 Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the camera. 4 Turn on the camera. Note: EasyShare software opens on your computer. The software prompts you through the transfer process.

try uniinstalling the software then install new software se if that works or try to download new drivers from web , ps what windows do you have xp seems to have probs with camera software or check to see if they is any conflict with camera instalation
yeah, go to my computer, find your camera.
find the files. highlight them. CTRL + V to copy
Paste them into your computer (make a folder etc)
Open em with windows media or something.
If they still dont work on your computer:
Download a video converter for the files.
Try and install the HP software again. Uninstall the software first and reboot the pc. Then reinstall software. The memory chip maybe have currupt pictures, so format the chip using the camera. You manual should tell you how to do this.
Turn the camera on and let the battery run all the way down. This may take some time, maybe a day. Then charge it back up for a day. I hope this helps you out. Let me know.
. Forget Kodak or any other software that comes with a camera- just leave the disk in the box.
Plug the camera into the computer- set the upload setting switch on.
The computer will come up with 'found new hardware and a new drive will show in My computer click on it and there are your pictures in a folder.

This error message means that the preferences in EasyShare software are set to save pictures to the CD-ROM drive or some drive other than your hard drive. To correct this, follow these steps:
Start EasyShare software.
Select Tools > Preferences.
Select the Transfer tab.
Below "Select the location on your hard disk where you want to copy transferred pictures," select Browse.
Browse to the desired location on the hard drive where you want to transfer your pictures. The default location is:
