I have a Sony projection TV KP-46WT510, when the set is turned on the standby light blinks four times. I have replaced IC8003(LA78045). (the board number is A1302708A) After replacing the IC I am still experiencing the same problem as the standby light is still blinking four times. I am asking if you can assist me with the problem and a service manual will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance." I have a KDP-51ws655 and the standby light blinks 4 times I just replaced the g board with a new one cause it wouldnt power up at all, and now when I hit the power button it acts like its going to turn on for a sec then shuts off the light blinks 4 times, Also when I push power the sound of the of it trying to fire up or the ping of the power supply is pretty loud I dont know what that means, Please If anyone has any idea on what I need to do please tell me I would like to fix it myself......

these ic locations are different than yours but same part number.
is there a 2sc3311 near by LA78045?

You can Google and find the service manual which will explain what the 4 blinks means.

If you have the Sony remote with the set off:

Display, 5, Volume down, Power

If the set has it you will see a box appear on screen with a list of items--all should have a zero to the right of each---one with a number indicates the number of times that error has been detected.

Let me know if you have questions or cannot find what the four means and I will research it.

Low B over voltage or over current shutdown its usually related to either the A board or the B board. You can get the replacement A board which includes the B board from www.tvrepairworld.com

Try to turn on, it turns off right away and the stand by light flashes 6 times

Thanks for using FixYa. Standby/Timer light blinking 6 Times means no Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, and so the set goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately. You’ll need to open the back off the TV and check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206. Also check +5 line is overloaded (A, B boards), +5 line is shorted (A, B boards). KP-46WT510 is blinking 8 times repeatedly on standby what is the problem?

Replace the Flyback transformer your correct flyback which is used in the WS510 and WT510 models is available at the following link.

When i turn the TV on, a red light on the front of the set just flashes (standby light)

Let me know model and brand of TV if its other then Sony KP-46WT510 and also count red standby light flashes as there would be long pause between blinks.
These info will help me to find out possible solution.

Sony KP-51WS520 won't turn on

Something bad in power supply or horiz output.Possible bad gun.Needs a repair shop unless you know electronics.

Replaced STK's, fuses ok, +/- 22 VDC ok, still can

did you checke the two 5amp IC protectors located on the G board? Those will usually blow when the original ICs fail.

KP46WT510 Shutdown 6 Blinks. 6 Blinks = Low B+ OCP/OVP
SOLUTION: Replaced Flyback transformer. It had no rings on the ringer test.
HQ
Comments: Any load on the B+ line can cause 6 Blinks.
Example: If the 200v line is loaded down will cause a drop in B+ due to bright picture current demand.
