the only way I see to do that is a configuration where you can share the internet connection on both systems (Router) then you can view the Webex on both.

Dell Inspiron e1705 no longer recognizes AC Adapter and battery won't charge. Tried updating BIOS, but exe file won't open becuase the Flash app won't run. What can I do?

If the system doesn't recognize a the AC adapter, a BIOS flash will not run as system needs to ID the battery any AC to run the flash.

  1. Try a different AC adapter if one is available. The system IDs the adapter by the pin in the center of the DC connection to the system. If the pin is bent or missing, then the system cannot ID the AC adapter and the Battery Charger is disabled.
  2. If issue occurs with a new or known good DELL Branded AC adapter (Any Dell D Series adapter should work on system) then the motherboard is bad.
AC adapters run about $25

Dell Inspiron E1705 monitor changes brightness

If you have your Dell driver disc have to uninstall the video adapter driver and reinstall it. Restart the laptop and observe if things still happening. No need to do an update for the video driver though on this regard. Or on the other hand try to do a System Restore. Restoring your computer profile/settings on the previous date that it was working fine. But before you gonna do that have to back-up first the important files that you have to your external hard drive or USB flash drive. Hope these things help. Thank you.

E1705 Monitor is black also, but can see this screen fine on tv

You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Dell E1705...Same problem...lights on boot up

If the screen goes dark after BIOS, there is a software conflict - either a driver or screen resolution was set incorrectly. a couple of ideas to solve:
boot from disk, or another hard drive - if this works, it confirms the software conflict - which would mean having to re-install the OS.

Check your backlight settings, Power Settings, etc.....

You may have Vista (vista has other power settings such as a custom sleep mode which can fail sometimes to work properly with some hardware/monitor configurations).
So Disable any unconventional Hibrid Hibernation options k!
