I learnt by pressing them. Which ones have you stumped?
The sun icon with an "up" arrow is "brightness up". They're all pretty self-explanatory like that, but if you're really stuck, the manual covers it all.

How do I deactivate my touchpad on HP Core i3

Look at the top set of keys on your keyboard - Usually there are lite blue icons that are apart of your function keys - Extra key function to help manage more with your laptop. Ok, the bottom left side of your keyboard has a FN key (Function) Press the FN key and then the touchpad icon key to enable or disable your touchpad.

Suddenly the screen won't show up. notebook comes on, but no viewable monitor. didn't overheat. battery pack seems fine. fully charged. new. any suggestions?

Look at the top of your keyboard. One of the function keys has one or two icons on it that look like little monitors. Turn on your laptop let it have a fewe minutes to get going then press the "Fn" key at the same time you press that key if it does not work press it again, your screen should come back on one of the times you press them. If it does not then you have worse problems....

Cannot use right side numbers of the keyboard, other functions ar

I'm not sure what keyboard you have but there should be an "Fn mode", "Mode" or similar button on your keyboard, it should be the same color as the function icons on your other keys. This is usually used to toggle between the different modes. If this doesn't work or only works while your holding it down then you'll need to find the setting software for your keyboard. It's most likely in with your other programs or in Control Panel, some will put an icon in your task tray that you can double click or right click to access them.

How do we locate wireless button or keypad code?

Your wireless is usually turned on/off either by a slider switch or a function key (Fn+F2). Look at your keyboard to see which F-key to use.

Did this resolve your issue? If so, please rate it. ty.

Toshiba keyboard key explanation

fn stands for function, its usually a blue key on the lower left corner.

holding this will activate any key that has a secondary print on it, these are usually blue as well. so if theres a contrast looking icon or brightness- holding fn and then pressing that key will alter the settings.

My key pad is frozen

If you have an extra usb keyboard available you should be able to use the laptop.

I would suggest going into control panel -- then devices -- check to see if there is an "explanation point" next to the keyboard device.

If not, right click on the keyboard icon and click update driver.

I've also selected "uninstall" for this device and restarted the computer. Many times windows will reload the keyboard driver. The current one may be corrupted.

There is no display on my HP Pav dv9000

Is there any display during start up? If so, then the possible solution is that the display has been toggled for TV or external monitor display. Try hitting Function F5 on the keyboard (default display toggle function) and see if that turns on your LCD display.
