You will need to check the settings of the router. You are able to go online when you connect the computer directly to the modem. Your internet service provider is DSL. You can try to reconfigure the router. Press the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. release it. unplug the power to the router. plug it back in. wait for 1 minute and try to reconfigure the router.
