Hi, my canon g10 stopped working after months of buying it. canon say it is corroded due to water damage. i have not exposed the camera to any water at all. what are all the causes of corrosion and how long does corrosion take to set in? could this have happened before i bought it?

I'd take a look at the manual, but I suspect the maximum file size that it can record is 4gb. Actually just now I searched and found the Canon G10 manual, and it states "Max. Clip Size: 4GB". Also it states 1 hour limit also, whichever comes first. This is a common limitation due to the file system typically used (e.g. Microsoft's FAT).

No. The LA-DC58K only allows you to use the TC-DC58K teleconverter with your camera.
The Tamron 28-200mm lens is intended for use with SLR (single-lens reflex) cameras, not with point&shoot cameras. As far as I know, there aren't any adapters which will allow you to use an SLR lens with the G10.
A teleconverter is an add-on accessory that works with an existing lens. The 28-200 is a lens, which is intended to be used as-is. Using it on the G10 would basically require removing the built-in lens on the G10. As that lens can't be removed...
Does your Durango have trailer wiring installed, and if so, was it factory installed or installed aftermarket? If installed aftermarket, there's a really good chance your wiring issues are due to incorrect connectors being used to tap in to the factory wiring which has allowed water and other elements to corrode the wiring, causing an intermittent connection.
It could be fuse in some case. Other is main pcb brown. There is fuse in dc/dc convertor circuit which distribute power. The cause due to fall out screws from strap holder inside of camera. You can check it with multimeter. But there is possible risk. If you wish to work. let me know I will let you work. Also, if main is bad then you should send to canon factory. your local repair shop can not provide service due to reprogram by computer.
Thanks and best regard!
Try removing the card first and then trying to power up the camera. Cameras often fail to turn on/off when a card goes faulty. Next I would try pushing the playback button, it also acts as a power button but starts the camera in playback mode. If this works it could indicate a problem with the power switch circuit itself. If there is still no sign of life I would suspect a fuse to have blown. They are internally located and very small, you would need to have a service centre try replace it for you. Good Luck!
