Question about Samsung DVD-V1000 DVD Player/VCR
We moved the tv without disconnecting any of the cables into the DVD-V1000. Now when we push the DVD/TV button, we get a scrambled looking screen in the DVD mode, but in TV mode everything looks fine. I've checked the cables and the channel position. What might this be?

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If your recorder is hooked up after the cable box, then it can probably only receive channel 3...the set-top box does the switching, and sends everything to the TV (and recorder) on Ch. 3

Ok, I've had the same issue and I was able to fix my problem. I was getting cut off sides in HD mode on my playstation.
I entered the service menu by doing this:
Turn TV Off
Use remote and hit "Mute 1 8 2 Power" (not at the same time, but one after the other)
The TV will come on with the service menu. Enter the 1080i adjustment screen. Write down ALL the values in case you mess up. Adjust the values as necessary to fit your screen. It's sort of like adjusting a computer monitor's image for different resolutions.
