Same problem. Works fine, then I turn up the volume and with a couple of minutes the unit shut off. Wait a while and I can turn it back on. Weird!

The question is, do you hear any sound? Is just the display off or is the entire unit shutdown? Can you tell?

These displays are known to develope poor solder connections at the power input and ground pins. If you can solder, open up the unit (unplugged of course) and examine the pins for the display. This will be on the PC board attached to the front panel. The pins at either end of a long line of pins will be the power and ground pins. Reasolder those pins, taking care not to short the pins together and try the unit once done. If that does not resolve the problem (assuming it is just a display problem), update this with as many details as you can about the behavior of the unit and we'll look further.

Yes, it is hooked up using the (cassette) tape inputs and outputs. Use the tape monitor switch on the receiver to switch the EQ in or out.

It doesn't want to work anymore!! There appears to be no power to the Disc Player, Cassette Deck or the Sound Processor? The Amplifier screen displays F61 Hope you can be of assistance Thank you

With my crystal ball I can see its a Technics 4 part Hifi micro system you have although the image is just too fuzzy for me to tell which model.!

Joking apart...Your power amp module has a blown channel. These are specific Technics modules and some for the 3/4/5 channel units are quite expensive UK £40-80 just for the module + fitting costs

No DIY fix I'm afraid

Describe your I have a technics sa ax910 turning

1 You may have a failing power supply regulating circuit in you amplifier and the fail safe circuit is trying to protect the rest of the circuit.
2. there may be a voltage overload at the primary side of the power supply circuit which in this case is causing it to shut down.

SAAX7 Technics stereo receiver stops broadcasting after 20-30 min

Ron- The fan does not turn on when the receiver is first powered on, it will run when the amplifiers begin to run HOT, they are kinda controlled by a thermo switch, if the fan does not turn on usually the receiver will shut down and display a OVERLOAD message in the display panel. My advise is to keep the unit well ventailated with plenty of breathing space around the top vent closure, this will allow air flow when loud volume output is used. Also use the rated ohm speakers with the SA-AX7,
