Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny switch on the side of the card to its other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera.
But if you have already tried this, see this link for additional things that you can try.

Deleted pictures from Nikon Coolpix L26 can I recover the pictures

there are some programs out there to recover files from your card even after you format the card. most of the time if you delete the file you can get it back. depending on the brand of card you use, many of them offer some kind of recovery software and most of the time it is free of charge if you purchase a card from them. I am not selling these but I most of the time use Lexar cards and they give one of the best programs out there. used it before and it saved me a couple good times :) you can google some other ones and there are some that are free.

Memory card is write protected as my nikon coolpix screen shows and no any option is getting for picture click

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Mi Nikon coolpix 4100 shows often the message " write protected " how can I delete write protected?

It sounds as though it's your memory card that's locked.Remove it and slide the little lever on the left hand side of the card so that it isn't in the lock position.

I downloaded some pictures to my school computer and now my camera won't take any pictures. Message is Memory card write protected.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

How to protect pictures so they do not get deleted

Best way is to only delete them 1 by one. Another is to transfer files (pictures) to your computer delete the ones you don't want, format your card and then put the ones you want to keep on your camera back. You can't delete just a few pictures. I carry 3 memory cards. one just has the pictures I want to show people. I load that card from my computer. The other 2 are like great big rolls of film that let me take lots and lots of pictures without the worry of running out of film. I transfer the pictures I want to show people on my camera to the third one and keep the other 2 erased. Most of my pictures are only on my computer and backed up on DVD's.

Camera does not show taken ( saved) pictures

problem is in memory card...i think. try with cleaning memory card contacts. use pure alcohol and small piece of cotton to clean dust or other dirt. if this not help, try some card reader to transfer images from camera to PC. try also with some other camera. it's possible memory card is damaged and you can't do nothing. try reinstall nikon software on your PC.

Nikon Coolpix 5200 Getting Message ""Memory Card is Write Protected"

Inspect your SD card carefully. Some SD cards come with a write-protect lock switch on the side of the card. When looking at an SD card from the top there is one required notch on the right side (the side with the diagonal notched corner) and on the left side there is usually a switch. This is the write-protect switch. When this write-protect switch is in the down position (away from the end that is inserted) then it is write protected and read-only. When the switch is in the up position it is write enabled.
