Hi,its sounds like an

issue with the dmd.This is

how the dmd works:

http://electronics.howstuff

works.com/dlp1.htm

Basically the dmd is a chip

that carries 2 million

pixels that create the

image and colors .When its

bad it will cause

pixilation,color

discoloration or

stripes.God bless you!

On my Mitsubishi WD-82840 DLP TV for the first hour of operation I'm seeing green pixelations in the darkest sections of the image displaying on the TV.

May mean the DLP chip is either not getting the proper level of black signal until the controller board has warmed up, or the DLP chip itself is not completely responding to the controller signals. After thoroughly warming up the problem goes away. This is a sign of aging of the parts. Diagnosing and correcting that type of problem is a challenge. Regards.

How to fix my 65" toshiba white pixel problem

Thats caused by the DLP chip. Unfortunately most Toshiba models will end up having to have both the DLP chip and the formatter board replaced at the same time to fix the issue where as other models only require replacing the DLP chip alone to fix the white dots issue

Viewsonic PJD6211, I have white pixels and black ones and some are blinking white now and I have a few black lines going across my image and a white one going up and down. What do I need to do to fix

Clean and verify the color wheel and its sensors. They can get dirty and wheel no longer syncs. The next thing is if the air cooling of the DLP chick got clogged that MAY have damaged the chip. It moght be permanent but check that the air passages for the heatsink of the chip are open.

Random dots or pixels failing on a DLP TV will be a bad DMD chip. This is a technician replace item only. The chip runs around 160 dollars list price. The part number will depend on which version the set uses and will be determined by the technician.

Bad FMT (Formatter) circuit board. No longer available for purchase from Mitsubishi.

The electrical chassis will need to be sent to Mitsubishi for rebuild.

Wait time: 4-8 weeks
Cost (including labor to uninstall it and reinstall it: $800 +)
