How do I rewire my crown cm311a mic from mic to belt pack?

It looks like a mini XLR connection at the belt pack end, so that's easy. The cable goes to a connector block which looks like it is held together with two screws. Again, that should be fairly straightforward.

The other side of the block is the cable that goes up to the head set and boom mic. This looks a little trickier for a novice just because the mic capsule is small; the cable runs through a narrow diameter tube, and the cable routing involves heatshrink.

At a guess I'd say that the foam windshield will come off. There'll be a grub screw holding the collar in place.

Personally, I'd use a meter on continuity setting, upen up the XLR and connectors block, and test the two signal lines (pins 2 and 3 in the XLR) for a break. Fingers crossed it is in that section. Then replace that cable.

If it is in the boom arm section, and you feel confident dealing with threading the cable and using heat shrink then have a go. If not, take it to a Tech to avoid the risk of wrecking a great mic.

I'm trying to wire a galaxy desk mic to a cobra 200 10 meter mobile

  • The Galaxy desk mic (power mic) is already wired four pin and the Cobra 200 is a 4 pin already as well. So unless someone has messed with them the mic will plug right up to the radio as is.

  • But if someone has repined the mic then follow the pinout I listed below to get it rewired for the Cobra 200
  1. Pin #1 on mic connector - Black wire.
  2. Pin #2 on mic connector - White wire.
  3. Pin #3 on the mic connector - Blue wire.
  4. Pin #4 on the mic connector - Red wire.

  • If you look on the end of the mic connector it will have the imprint of the number for each pin on the mic.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Will a diesel 360-3 mic ork on a galaxy dx99v

  • Hi, I can help.

  • The Diesel Electronics CB will work but you have to wire it as stated below.

  1. #1 Shield and Black - Ground
  2. #2 Yellow - Audio
  3. #3 White - Transmit
  4. #4 Red - Receive

  • I don't know if anyone before you has re-pined that mic or not so if you just remove that little Philips screw at the mic connector and then give it a quarter turn you can slide the connector out and take a look and compare the wiring. The actual numbering for the pins on the Galaxy 4 pin mic connector is as indicated below in the diagram. As you look at the mic tip make sure the indent on the mic is as it is the diagram.

Hi We use a Samson UT-5 at my church. Recently it seems like there is static/buzzing noise whenever our priest touches the connector. Is there a connector problem or should we take it to a repair store...

That sounds like a floating ground problem.
The UT-5 is a beltpack transmitter, right? What microphone do you have plugged in to it? We use a Countryman headset with a Sony beltpack, and there are components inside the connector for our setup.

Try unplugging the microphone and see if you can make the beltpack buzz without a microphone. If so, then it's in the beltpack. If not, it might be the mic cable.

Schematic for EV Warrior Electric Bike

I have a PDF of the schematic i drew for my bike. it is posted on the Yahoo power-assist group. look in the files section.

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-assist/files/EV-Warrior/

there is also a text file there that lists all of the wiring connectors and where each of the wires goes. as well as connection diagrams for the Curtis 1505 speed controller.

the charger circuit is very simple. the black and red wires from the charger port go straight to the batteries +24V and 0V terminals. the third white wire connects through a bullet connector to pin#7 (EPO wire) of the Curtis speed controller. this acts to turn off the motors while the batteries are being charged.

inside the charger male connector the pin for that 3rd white wire is shorted to ground. so when you plug the charger in the white wire is grounded thru the charger plug.

have fun. i really enjoyed my EV-Warriors while i could still ride them.

Zivan NG3 battery charger diagrams

Hi,
your NG3 should have been preprogrammed for the type of batteries you are charging. The NG3 has the 3 wires from the power cord. Here is what I have done:
Brown from charger goes to black wire
Blue goes to white wire
yellow green goes to green ground.

OK....does it scratch when the cable going into the mic moves, or when the cable going into the connector @ the beltpack? Either way, Shure has an exceptional service policy on all of their mics. They have very reasonable prices for bringing their mics back to factory spec. If you are a touring musician who needs it ASAP, they are good at expediting the process. I always advise clients who use wireless mics to put a fresh Duracell battery in before EVERY performance. I am not an endorsee of that brand, but from experience, I am an endorser of it. A weak battery will cause static/scratches/drop outs. Call 800.516.2525(service line) or go to service@shure.com. Unless you are REALLY good at precise soldering, this is not a DIY project.Good Luck

A little more info on our poblem

The problem may be resolved by placing a 330 PF capacitor across the mic's two input lines. With countryman you cannot access the mic capsule easliy so it is best to take the TA5F connector apart,( this would be the connector that plugs into the beltpack) and place the capacitor across the two lines. LECTROSONICS.COM has the capacitors and a wiring diagram to help solve this. The part number for the capacitor is SCC330P

Good Luck!
