Question about Epson Stylus Photo R200 InkJet Printer
I Have an Epson printer, PhotoR200 and I have been told by the company that in order to print black only i still must buy the colour cartrages. They say it is impossible to use the black only as the colours must be filled as well. Is there are other way to by pass this and just use the black?
I print in black ink only most of the time. Choose print from the menu, when the print dialog box opens, choose properties, advanced, black ink only (gray scale in Vista), then APPLY. You do have to have ink in the other cartridges but you only use them when you want to. Hope this helps!

The printer is designed so that you have to have ink in all the ink cartridges. They sell more ink this way. I have the same printer and investigated this a few years ago. there is no work around. Peter
