Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console

My disk wont spin at all.

When i start it up it will not spin and it stays on the configuration screen

    but i took the top of the ps2 off and pushed the switch down by the power down and the switch in the back and the laser moves and i8t shows a red light.

It could be that your PS2's laser is fried. the laser is what reads the disk, and it could be fried because it reads so many scratched disks that the laser "burns itself out" so to speak. try looking into a repair for it.

Wont load keeps turning itself off

I'd suggest doing a hard disk and RAM Test so as to see if you are having hardware problems.
HDD Test - MHDD - Test - MemTest -
Download the relevant ISO and burn to CD.
If both of the above test pass, you might want to take you OS CD/DVD and try to repair you Windows Installation (If it is Windows). Toshiba also have a recovery partition so you might want to access that one instead.

The saw will start for a good 2 min then it will stop. i didnt have this problem yestarday. Now the disk wont move. it will move sometimes but not all the time. Plus it stays in a constant speed if it does...

Sounds like there is something seriously wrong with either the switch, motor and gear assembly. Take it to a reputable repairer. Get a three quotes before you decide who's the best qualified to fix it.

there is probably something wrong with the lazier i would go the radio shack or taret to get a dvd lens cleaner for your ps2 disc drive

Wont read disk

that means that the disc is not compatible with the ps2 i mean that the containing of the disc can't be read on the ps2 so that's why it turns u to the main system configuration ....
