Re: One speaker has stopped working

Are you sure the TV is getting a stereo signal into it?
What connections are you using?
Saw a case last month where the right side audio cable had come loose from the input to the video player and it telegraphed all the way through to the TV. We were going nuts trying to figure out why the TV was bad when it was just cabling in the back.
Hope ya fix it!

Re: One speaker has stopped working

It could be the cable connecting to the speaker, or the speaker itself. Try taking the cable that's connected to the left speaker and connecting it to the right speaker. If it works, the cable connected to your right speaker is defective, if it doesn't work - your speaker is.

Sound through only one speaker

Check the other speaker which do not work. In most cases, the speaker is found faulty. If so, replace it with a similar one.

Speaker buzz

Well yes your speaker is damaged, the cone actually has a tear, so audio that has low base or high pitch will cause distoration..

Simply remove it, take it with you and buy a similar one.. Same size, same watts, same ohms and just put the new one in.

speakers are standered only brand names are different..

BTW if you feel that you dont want to purchase a new one, simply stick the tear with duct tape, or you can hot glue it together.. If its plasctic, plastic weld works good(ask for it at a hardware)..

NR26WLB520HD Volume has just stopped working??

Its a Beko-----check for feature in Menu to turn speakers off and if speakers are NOT switched off you have a audio circuit problem.

I would also put my ear right to the speaker and see if hear ANYTHING.

Quasar 1989 tv makes a buzzing motor sound

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, if you have confirmed that the source of the buzzing sound is from inside the TV, then that would indicate a component about to fail or would need attention. Let us try process of elimination:
  • tuner - most unlikely, the tuner is responsible for selecting the channel. No component/part of the tuner could make such a mechanical buzzing sound;
  • speaker(s) - most unlikely, the speaker could have a buzz but generally would not affect the video nor cause snow (weak TV signals);
  • transformer - a strong possibility although without knowing the exact model, at most generic ideas; power transformer, flyback transformer, horizontal drive transformer (unlikely);
  • arcing - another strong possibility. This could be caused by damp, dusty surroundings of the components especially at the FBT area. Another area that could have adverse effect when dusty/damp would be the anode cap.
This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

No Audio

Most likely it pulled hard enough to cause some bad solder connections on the botton of the 4 pin...try to unsolder and resolder the connector and reconnect the speakers this should fix you up.

Missing speaker?

You have a TV with mono sound, and those sets only have one speaker. The same cabinet is used for the sets with stereo sound, which is why there are spaces for both speakers. Your set does not have a second audio amplifier to connect another speaker to.

Toshiba 3387db has stopped working

did you hard wire the stereo directly to the TV's speakers or audio circuit? IF thats what you mean, bad idea, you probably blew the audio amp which can hold down the power supply and cause the tv not come on

Color ghosting on left side

A magnetic field such as would come from a speaker might cause the ghosts but would not stop your set from coming on when it's hot. You may have a horizontal deflection problem such a bad flyback transformer or some other component that gets worse with temperature. You need to have it checked out by a technician. Stargazer
