I have a crib which is around 16 years old. It is completely in pieces. How do I try to put it back together. It is the type of crib which the side comes down when you push on a lever with your foot.

Anyone know where to find a basset crib instruction manual?

Don't pass along this crib! It is 23 years old. Even if it was never used, stored in a humidity controlled room for the past 23 years, it is still an OLD crib. Crib safety standards change on a regular basis, so you can be sure that your crib does not meet the newest standard. But since it was used, and has been stored since then - who knows the condition? The glue could be dried out, the wood slightly warped. All these things can create a potential death trap. And since the crib is the one place a parent should feel comfortable leaving their child alone for hours, you want to make sure it is the safest piece of child gear in the house. PLEASE do not pass this crib down, but get rid of it. Old cribs are not safe, regardless of how well it worked the first time around.

I don't understand putting it together.

Hi,
My solution may be a little late but I just had the same problem today. I wanted to share this information with you! Good Luck
Go to daxstores.com at this point you can opt to live chat to a service rep. Then I typed her my situation and gave her my model number. She popped up instructions for me almost immediately! I printed them out and am putting the crib together now! Hope this might help others :)

Have a Lullabye Crib - 28 yrs old, no instructions for reassembly

I have directions for the Lullabye Princeton Crib, Model 311146
that I purchased in 1993. It sounds like the same type of hardware
that allows the front rail (only) to move up and down, with springs
at the bottom to cushion the drop. If you think this might help you
and you want me to post these directions, just let me know.

Pottery Barn Sleigh Crib Assembly Instructions

We recently put together a PBKids sleigh crib bought on craigslist. the original owner gave us all the old bolts. We actually put the side that DOESN'T say "push" on first. When attaching the "push" side - the one thing we figured out is that you have to fit that side UNDER the rails that are visible on the sides and then pull UP (rather than going down, you have to pull up to fit it in.) that said, the original owner did not give us any bolts/stops to put in the sides that would keep the rail from falling completely to the floor when you push the drop side in. anyone else have suggestions?

This is from Bassett's website.

Bassett recommends that all cribs manufactured prior to 1972 be replaced because improved safety features were instituted that year. If your crib was made in 1972 or after, replacement parts are available from Products America at 1-800-772-1041. If you are unsure when your Bassett crib was made, Bassett urges you to replace it.
