My edge 305 doesn't always pick up sallelite. I use it on my bicycle and it fell off adaptor onto pavement. It was working fine until a few days after that. Sometimes when I turn it off and turn it on again it will work, but it's getting worse now.

Hello, I fell the same way buddy. Sorry to here about your Night Vision monocular? But Tasco NV monocular is manufactured in Russia. It seem you got a few year out of your NV devise...7 years is very good. The biggest thing that goods bay is the Russian manufactured image intensifier tube. There are cheap. This is about 85% of the monocular problem and 90% of the cost. Two items that viewed as important with NV devises. The case, and the image intensifier tube. Now, if you have Russian optics above 50mm for the front lens then on could consider that the optics are another cost. Auction it off on eBay as "doesn't work, parts only" Sorry, and I wish you luck...GB...stewbison

When using my garmin to track exercise while on my stationary trainer, the Garmin does not record any speed or distance. I do have the cadense sensor installed and all of this seems to work fine when using...

The garmin works off of a GPS signal. If you are not moving, the GPS signal doesn't pick up any movement . . . .because you are not really moving. m Therefore, the speed and distance is nil.

When I training indoor my edge 305 doesn't show me speed and distance even if the cadence sensor works properly

Try start your training device outdoor for a check. If then it is working, the issue is about the device needs to see sattelites to perform measurements and register speed.

You may try switch GPS device off, which is said to be an indoor mode for training.

Cadence does not register on edge 705

This is probably a pairing problem. Device and cadence should be paired. Pairing is often lost when changing battery.

Pairing the Edge 305 and sensors
Once you have installed the Garmin Edge 305 and the cadence sensor they need to be paired. As they communicate wirelessly with each other the Edge needs to connect to each sensor before it can receive input from it.

The initial pairing needs to be done away from other wireless systems this allows the Edge to pick up the sensors it is supposed to be monitoring. This is a little like black magic, but it seems to work quite easily.

The cadence sensor has a small press contact which puts the sensor into pairing mode. The HRM just seemed to connect by itself.

Subsequent pairing is much faster as the Edge 305 seems to remember which sensors it is paired with. If you have problems or need to change one of the sensors then you can use a setup feature to either turn the sensor off or to re-pair it.

Garmin 305 is off and wont come back on.

You have to soft reset it first, and if not solving, then try hard reset.

Soft reset : hold lap/reset with mode key for some seconds
Hard reset : hols start and mode, then pulse on lap/reset.

after soft reset hold on/off for up to ten seconds before it starts.
after hard reset all data are lost
